So let's say this was over....What the hell was accomplished?

Ok, Im playing devils advocate here. But really for a minute Id like to hear your thoughts on this. I know what will be accomplished for Cindy because she started this as a one woman show. It's personal for her, it's very personal something THANK GOD most of us cannot relate to....YET.

But now since this has mushroomed and people are arriving in droves.....are you ok with the thought that maybe this will all blow over soon? That we will all go back to watching the total destruction of America and the U.S. Constitution as we know it? And are you ok with just watching? How long do you think we can continue like this?

Or.........is this a fork in the road? What do you think WE can all do to make sure that this is the REAL beginning to their END?


I'm pasting here an update from yesterday. Specifically, for anyone who tried to debunk this before. I believe that Cindy and all the others out there are in a tricky spot as to what they can and cannot ask for as far as our help. I think if it were me out there, I would desperately want back up.......even if you cannot travel!

So here is what was said:

I just spoke by phone from DC with Cindy Sheehan and Ann Wright in Crawford, Texas. Cindy has been doing interviews non-stop for the past few days. Ann and Diane Wilson and others have been doing most of the speaking with the police.

Cindy had hoped to spend the night tonight in the Crawford Peace House, but is heading out to the ditch along the road instead. "If anybody's going to be arrested, I need to be out there," she said.

Ann could not confirm any specific threat of arrest, but she said that she took the rumors seriously. The rumors are that the Sheriff's men will come arrest everyone after midnight…

Supporters around the country have been independently arriving at identical proposals, namely that if Cindy is arrested, we should go en masse to our local police stations, inviting the media, and asking to be arrested. I think this makes sense, and that it should happen the day after Cindy is arrested, meaning Friday if she's arrested tonight. Noon. Friday. Everyone.

Me: there was alot more to that update and I'll gladly post the rest if anyone has doubts as to whether I am taking anything out of context.
But they are saying EVERYONE...........THAT MEANS YOU! YOU in MN, YOU in OK, YOU in CA..........EVERYONE!

If we let this die, and we don't stand now.....it's just another protest. Not for Cindy, and not for anyone actually there, its more than that to them, and rightfully so....but for us at home.....what will it be for us?

2. I love my country

I dont know if I would die for my country no,not the country we have now under this regime. but In the same sense I WOULD fight and die for my freedom, or my perceived freedom. I would die for my family and my children. And in this moment in history for this NOBLE cause I will demand to be arrested if and when Cindy and others are arrested.

Am I willing to keep giving away my rights for what this Admin. calls security? NO! I am not. Go to a country rd, look what happens at a four way intersection with nothing but fields and farm land for miles. Look what happens when two people meet at that intersection miles from anything. It's always amazed me that people stop. They do the right thing. I know its simple, but its amazing to me. I believe that the majority of people are good. And I believe that good always wins in the end.........let's just get there already!

6. Fork in the road.

I feel very strongly about this. THIS IS IT. It may not feel like it for some or look like it for others. It is the defining moment; for many reasons. One of them is the fact that this is a completly ordinary woman who is exactly like your wife; your mother; your next door neighbor. No highly paid politicans or celebrities who may or may not have a hidden agenda. No quest for fame. No lust for glory. No bullshit. Just honest grief and an iron will. Precisely for this reason; this is going to be the turning point for this country.Who can NOT relate to this? Who can deny it? And most importantly:THERE IS NO CREDIBLE WAY TO SPIN THIS.
Really. There's not. They just sound desperate & stupid.
Many times in history the truning point comes and goes and some do not realize that until they look back at it. I predict this will be the same.
I have concrete hope for the first time in a long time. It has begun....

hope so badly that this really is it. I'm so tired of mass protests that do nothing really.....and I'm not trying to be disrespectful because believe me..Im always there, right there with all of you. But when it's over and the motorcade has passed by I'm worn. I want so badly for this to be the turning point...and that was a better word for it BTW than what I used "fork in the road"

8. i do not expect * to change or do anything BUT

This is a war for the minds of the Americans. And this is about the election in 2006. We have to win that election in a landslide just to have a chance. If our side becomes so overwhelming, we might have a chance. With a democratic congress in 2006, * looses a lot of his power and we can get so much done.

So this story and what Cindy is doing is a HUGE story to benefit our side. A mother whos son died in the war wants to ask why her son died and the President ignores her. How powerful is that??? Only the insane nutjobs cannot feel for her.
