Gas $1.99/gallon still here in Northeast Texas
Had to wait in line at the gas pumps.
I wonder how long they can sustain this gas war?

4. Was up to $2.30/gallon
Person bought out one of the 2 gas stations in town that are across from each other.
Old owner had a standing agreement that he would let the guy across the street be .02 lower a gallon without fighting a price war.
The new owners won't honor the agreement.
So they fought it all the way back down to $1.99 and are at a stalemate, lol.

5. Interesting - not showing up at the gasprices.com website

Added on edit: As a FYI - Military Posts tend to have slightly cheaper gas since the AAFES gas station doesn't have to pay various taxes - it's one of those little perks of being in the Military.

6. Does that mean it isn't true?
I looked on the website and they didn't have ANY information for my town.
All that means is that nobody submitted it.

10. Of course not - I believe you
It's just interesting that some GasPrices.com "reporter" hasn't reported it.

We all are going to be able to tell our Grandchildren, "Back in 2004, gas was still under $2 dollars a gallon".

11. I went ahead and reported it to the site
Shows to be the cheapest gas price in Texas.
I wish our newspaper was online, it was on the front page last week.
But then again...so was Mr. Jones lost dog, lol.

12. Do you have a refinery next door?
Is there any explanation why they seem to be holding the prices down in North Texas? Usually they say "Market forces" and raise the price even if they paid much less for it - gas is a commodity.

14. It's two stores having a gas war
Nothing to do with market price. They are just trying to eat each other's business.
