Poll question: Worse Traitor: Lindh or Rove?
There are three key points to look at to determine who is the worse traitor between Lindh and Rove: Intent, Execution and Result.

Intent-

Lindh was motivated by a youthful, yet misguided zeal for a newfound religion; this led him to reject his American values in favor of the Muslim extremist Taliban.

Rove is no child, his politicial chicanery goes back to the Nixon White House. He rejected American values in favor of power politics at any cost.

Execution-

Lindh left the country he rejected to go be among those he agreed with; an honest, above board break- whether you agree with it or not. He was captured under an enemy flag; case closed.

Rove used our political process to advance his personal ambition; like a cancer he has corrupted our system from the insde for over 30 years. He has mocked our virtues as American's by using the symbols and offices of our nation as a punchline in his sick joke of a career. He was caught betraying not just an Intelligence Officer, but every contact and operation she ever had, or ever would have had.

Result-

Lindh's capture was sideshow to the War in Afgahnistan. He was literally dug out of a hole with the broken and beleagured soldiers of the Taliban; but in reality had zero effect on our National Security other than the embarassment at his defection.

Rove's betrayal of Plame will be felt for years, perhaps decades. Even as we debate this on DU, foreign governments are rounding up and interrogating everyone Wilson and Plame had contact with. As a valuable primary resource for the War on Terror and WMD's she has been completely rendered useless. Agents will be harder to recruit under a republican from now because they will be unsure how safe they are if they report bad news. The US has been blinded in one of the most volitile regions of the world- all because Karl Rove put partisan revenge above the security of the United States.

Clearly, by standards of comparrison, Karl Rove is by far a worse Traitor than Lindh ever hoped to be. Where's Rove's Military Tribunal? Does the Army still hang Traitors?

2. Hmmm. if this were a Democrat Administration...
...Wouldn't ther Freepers be coming up with rumors that this disclosure has caused "dozens" of murders of people Wilson's wife worked with? (I have seen no proof of this, but neither was there any proof of most of the accusation against Clinton)

6. Let's talk reality here...
When Aldrich Ames committed treason- the KGB video-taped the arrests and execution of at least 17 of the agents- I've seen some of the stills.

The Plame betrayal will result is similar acts- it is the very nature of Intelligence gathering in the third world.

3. Rove by a longshot
by running off at the mouth ("allegedly"), he has put countless of agents at risk - definitely a breach of national security. Sounds like "Rover" is with the "terra-rists".

5. Wasn't Lindh charged with violating an executive order? That's like
a parking ticket compared to the mass murder and chaos unleased by Rove.

John Walker was some disillusioned kid who went to Afghanistan. Sure, he fought with the Taliban, but his ass would've been fried by the Taliban if he hadn't.

Rove is a scumbag. Few words can describe my hatred of this man.
