This is the question that Jack Cafferty wants viewers to answer! Finally, they are addressing this! It's on "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer...

8. Thanks for getting on board with this. *sigh* |

Mine didn't make it, either. But at least he read two, though the whole message was pretty much watered down by the idiot who called Cindy Sheehan's stand as "a threat to national security" and the guy who just wanted to communicate personally with Jack. But, at least, this is progress that they're addressing it at all.:eyes:
I will never forget the morning that CNN called for e-mail regarding the "persecution" of their poor "fellow journalist" Jeff Gannon and my post, alerting about this, went on, totally unexpectedly, for several days. That time, CNN absolutely chickened out. They read no e-mails, saying that they "had run out of time." At least, this time, they read two. And this story isn't going away, is only going to get bigger the longer Bush* ignores it, so the major media is going to be forced to cover it whether they want to or not...:grr:

I absolutely think that the president should meet with Cindy Sheehan. She is seeking answers for why her son was killed in Iraq and is not going to rest until she gets them. As was said earlier, if the president had given her only a few minutes several days ago, he could have easily deflected this story. Instead, hers has become a cause celebre among those who oppose the war in Iraq and will only become bigger the longer this goes on and as more and more people sign on with this. It's long past time for the president to display some of the compassion that he says he has for those families who have lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. For him to blatantly ignore a bereaved mother and for the media to have ignored this major story for so long really is a national disgrace. She needs answers, as do the American people. The world is watching the outcome of this story very closely, via the internet and the foreign press. How the president handles this chance to answer criticisms of the reasons he took this country to war will determine how his decision is viewed by the American people and the world community from now on. He could have avoided this stand-off, but now is his one chance to answer his critics once and for all. He has to step up to the plate now or this story will continue to grow and will follow him for the rest of his presidency.

5. Great! I'll be looking for yours! |
|
Mine is way too wordy, unless they excerpt it. I think yours has a much better chance of being read, and the crusty Cafferty won't shy away from the strong wording!:D

7. He just read four: two pro, one con and one totally irrelevant |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-11-05 05:22 PM by Rhiannon12866
Is that it?! I guess so... The con one said that Cindy Sheehan should consider how withdrawing our troops from Iraq would threaten "our national security..." Huh?! Iraqi insurgents here?!
Well, I guess that CNN has managed to duck this loaded question, as well, almost as blatantly as when they asked for e-mails regarding Jeff Gannon, then conveniently "ran out of time" before they could read any!:grr:
And Bush* has answered Cindy Sheehan without ever meeting with her. CNN just announced, as they did earlier, Bush*'s assertion that an early troop withdrawal from Iraq was not going to happen. So it looks as if he's said all he's going to say on the subject. What he doesn't understand is that Cindy Sheehan and this story are not going away, and are eventually going to turn around and bite him, big time. What a clueless man...
edited for punctuation.
