Cindy Sheehan on Pacifica Radio right now, I'm on next |
|
Hi, Cindy is on Caroline Casey's Pacifica show right now, which is being broadcast live I believe at the New York City and San Franciscio (KPFA) Pacifica stations.
I'll be on next, and for most of the remaining hour. I'll be talking about Sibel Edmonds and the latest 9/11 developments.

It's was like...seeing Santa Claus on Christmas Eve!! I couldn't believe it, I was so jazzed and told her I'd been looking at all the stuff here on DU! I told her there's all sorts of photos that people have been posting, etc. She had no idea. DU rocks!!

I especially liked the Sibel Edmonds information/update. You filled a lot of voids in my feeble understanding of the whole thing. Thanks
Sparkle? Mass confusion in my house during that part (son came home after first day of grammar school and pandemonium broke out! :))..Did you cover it....What is it? Should I know about it?

Glad you liked the show. A sparkle is a term in the intelligence community that refers to a government creating a terror attack or incident and blaming it on some other country or entity, ususally with the purpose of getting the population behind a war. For instance, before Germany invaded Poland in 1939, they staged an incident on the border and claimed Poland had attacked them! This kind of thing happens so often that there's a special term for it amongst spies.
The host and I were going to talk some about the history of sparkles, which goes back hundreds of years and continues to this day. The American public, including many here at DU, continue to think that our government is far too honest and good to ever do such a thing when in fact there are very recent examples. For instance, the Italian government did an official investigation into the US covert program Operation Gladio, and concluded that US intelligence was involved in the bombing of a train station in Bologna, Italy, in 1980 that killed 80 people and was blamed on far left forces. In 2002, the Macedonian killed about a dozen innocent people and claimed they were a thwarted al-Qaeda cell, simply to get more aid from the US (this came out in a New York Times story).
1980 wasn't that long ago. Some of the people deeply involved in Gladio have risen high in the Bush Administration, like Bush's foreign policy advisor Michael Ledeen. He's the guy who said that sometimes in order to achieve great things, a leader has to "enter into evil." I think the left's failure to even consider that people in our government can and do "enter into evil" and perpetrate things like sparkles is one of the left's greatest weaknesses.

14. Thanks for the explanation.... |

and when the media is complicit in the sparkles, we should call it yellow journalism, no? I guess we could update the term and call it yellow cake journalism.
Please post in DU when you are going to return to Pacifica radio ..Thanks.
