Buchanan on MSNBC (Wilson Story)
Saying that if its true that two people leaked this, the next question is "Who instructed them to do this?"

1. But no one is asking these questions - why?
From the ABCnote:

"Has President Bush made clear to the White House staff that only total cooperation with the investigation will be tolerated? If not, why not?

Has he insisted that every senior staff member sign a statement with legal authority that they are not the leaker and that they will identify to the White House legal counsel who is?

Has Bush required that all sign a letter relinquishing journalists from protecting those two sources? Has Bush said that those involved in this crime will be immediately fired? If not, why not?

Has Albert Gonzalez distributed a letter to White House employees telling them to preserve documents, logs, records? If not, why not?

Has Andy Card named someone on his staff to organize compliance? If not, why not?

White House officials who might have legal or political exposure on this are going to have to decide whether to hire lawyers or not, and the White House counsel's office is going to have to decide what legal help they can and should provide to officials if and when the DOJ wants to talk to them.

That means that the '90s practice of every Washington bureau of calling members of the bar to see who has hired whom is about to heat back up. The first one to report someone hiring a criminal lawyer wins a prize, as does the first person who develops that lawyer as a source on all this.

A reminder that students of recusal politics will have to consider the Rove-Ashcroft history"

3. Has he mentioned her work was on Weapons of Mass Destruction?
Saw an MSNBC clip earlier - mentioned leak, the WH denial of Rove, even WMDs... but only in the context of Wilson's trip to Niger. Never once mentioned that Plame's work was tracking the flow of WMDs.

Will Buchanon or Press be so bold as to highlight that point?

4. Salin, you are right on the danger.
The war on terror has been compromised!

Is Homeland Security reacting to this hole in the dike? Or do they even know there is a hole?

France, Germany and the UN should step up and let us know they have our back during this major breach in the war on terror.

5. "The war on terror has been comprimised"
Now, offered for consideration:

Maybe there never really was, in truth, a War on Terror? Maybe it was simply a constructed meme by Rove and his people, to get maximum mileage from 911? Perhaps, knowing that, they did what they did, to Ms. Plame-Wilson, knowing that there was realy nothing substantive to compromise? Perhaps, their real goal has been, all along, money and iron-fisted control?

If the above is true, then it certainly answers the question "Why would they compromise The War on Terror?"

9. Yes, 15 year network
He did mention it, unfortunately he and Buch were cross-talking a bit. But I really think her WMD work is coming out strongly in everything I've heard today. This one is on it's way.

Can Rove stop it?

Stay tuned.
