Behind KO? Like in the studio? I don't have cable, and I haven't heard a whole lot about where the rest of her family stands on this.
Thanks

21. behind her -- that's what she said -- and her husband does not |
|
agree with his parents and sister but agrees with his wife. They have three children, and they all support her. She stopped talking to her in-laws after the election because they voted for B. She said it used to be good natured, they called her Meathead, she called her father-in-law Archie -- but not after Casey's death and the 2004 election.

8. Olbermann asked why she hadn't raised these issues when met with |
|
Bush first time. She notes her grief and shock at the time. While still grieving, over the shock. DSM and other developments have allowed her to view the war differently now.

17. She's no politician. "If Bush comes out, it would defuse momentum" |
|
Honesty is so rare on television, I had to think about what she just said. Bush coming out to meet with her would probably work poorly for the anti-war movement.
Her honesty is staggering. There's really not much counter against a grieving mother who is letting the world look into her soul.
Good for free speech, good to know that you can still protest in this country. You really can't be descending into fascism if you can still turn on the TV and see this kind of stuff. America is still America, and it's showing now. Good for us, and good for discourse in this country.
I was really starting to worry when only one side was being presented. Now we can have a real debate.
Democracy isn't pretty and orderly, and it shouldn't be. Good for America.

Keith asked some great questions. Gave Cindy a chance to blow a lot of right wing attacks out of the water.
She pointed out that when she 1st met with the President, she was still in shock and several major reports hadnt come out yet and she mentioned the DSM.
She also debunked the part of her in-laws criticizing her, essentially saying that they were always freepers.

16. Awesome, the whole thing. The way Gregory led up to it |
|
while finishing Hardball; the way Keith introduced it right away; her interview, Keith making sure she gets a chance to respond to all issues raised against her. It was great. Gregory had Hillary Rosen and a RW nut radio talk host(ess) at the end of Hardball and just seeing how frustrated the latter was with all the coverage Cindy is receiving in print media ("front pages of all newspapers," she bemoaned) I almost cried from joy. Rosen, btw, was good -- passionate, fierce, a good spokesperson.

There has been a lot of criticism of KO on DU this past week because he hadn't covered Cindy yet...unjustified, in my opinion. People should have known he would do her justice. Oh they of little faith...
