Just curious- why can't freepers admit to BushCo malfeasance? |
|
Would it shatter a singular dedication to the office of the US presidency, regardless? Or could it be a fear of being wrong, caught on the wrong/"losing" side, showing weakness, having to change, what?
I know the investment involved, but am dispassionately interested in causes. I'm not judging, just curious why some would hang on until the flames gather around them without any exit before admitting that something must change.

or doubt. It's a RELIGION to them, which implies faith, which (sometimes) implies lack of evidence.

BushCo certainly do not teach the strength of noticing, analysing, admitting, and correcting one's mistakes, do they. Their response is usually a resounding "nuh-uh!"

9. They believe it is a weakness to admit mistakes. |
|
In fact, true leaders seek responsibility and accept responsibility for their actions. The average republican is a droid, programmed by hate radio, and could not tell you one characteristic of a good leader.
They believe they are being patriotic by being loyal to their party. They believe that is more important than loyalty to their Nation. They are traitors.

14. Some people are incapable of change or admitting their errors of judgement |
|
It's more to do with their inability to admit they are wrong then any great and deep admirtation for George Bush. They think of politics in terms of sports. It'd be like a Yankee fan deciding to become a Red Sox fan...or vice-versa. The hometeam could stink to the heavens, but you'd never ever consider changing your allegience. It's part of your identity. Those that are emotionally married to their identity will never change it.
I know one thing....if it were the Democrats that were doing what the Republicans are doing....I'd have changed my allegience a loooong time ago.

I swear politics to him is like Pro Football. He just has to be on the side of the Winning Team, regardless of their ideology. He asked us how we could support a political viewpoint that is no longer practiced, no longer in vogue. (I now adamantly refuse to be drawn into any of his discussions, as my Family Members all shun me now for arguing with him.) Once more, his right wing views are prime evidence of a defective personality, and once more......he needs to seek help. I pity his young sons as they will inherit his prejudices. I praise god all three of my Children are strong liberal minded individuals.
