I'm sick of these people My letter to Michelle Malkin
I just read some snippet from Faux News and a recent interview O'Slimey had with that horrible, nasty Malkin woman. So then I read her recent entry on her website about Cindy Sheehan http://michellemalkin.com/archives/003204.htm.
It really aggravated me, so I wrote her a note. I know...it's probably a waste of time, but I needed to vent. She has been a thorn in my side from the very first time I heard her speak. I guess her messing with the pure and selfless intentions of Cindy Sheehan was the straw that broke the camel's back. Such a venomous little person. Malkin must be a very unhappy person to be so cruel.
Dear Ms. Malkin,
You should be ashamed of yourself. I feel you are abusing your position as a journalist publishing the falsehoods that you do. I believe you have a responsibility to your readership to publish the truth based on solid research and facts, not innuendos and baseless opinions. You have a right to your opinion, but make it plain that what you write is your opinion, and try to get your facts straight.
I do not believe Cindy Sheehan has any ulterior motives other than the ones she has repeatedly stated. I base my opinion on the many times I have heard her speak and the many things she has written. It is not her fault that so many, both known and unknown agree with her.
As far as what her son would think or feel about his mother's actions, is not for you or I to guess. Who knows a son's heart better than a loving mother?
In response to this: "Cindy Sheehan has surrounded herself with a group of anti-American, anti-military, terrorist-sympathizing agitators, including Code Pink, the Crawford Peace House, and the crackpot crowd." Just because someone does not agree with your opinion and the agenda of the Administration does not make them unpatriotic, nor does it make them part of a "crackpot crowd". Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." To say that people who are so dedicated to peaceful resolutions to problems would sympathize with terrorists is a contradiction in terms at best. Did you even think about this statement before you wrote it?
I love this country. I love the people of this country and I love the wonderful variety of cultures, beliefs, and ideals that freedom breeds. It is wonderful that people are free to express their opinions. I respect your right to do so as well, but is it really necessary for you to do so in such a cruel and dishonest way?
Shame on you, Ms. Malkin. You must be a better person than that.

Wonder if I'll hear anything back? I don't really care if she does respond. I feel better just dumping on her.

1. Very good
Malkin is just another one of those who fits my definition of a neo-con: One who has learned it pays better to praise the King than criticize him.

2. You're a lot braver than me
I couldn't take the hatred she would send in response. Ugh. And good job being civil. I think that works better than a crazy ranting letter which is easily dismissed.

4. I understand your need to vent; however
I have seen Malkin on TV a couple of times...to be honest with you, the woman seems to be more mentally unstable than any other commentator I have seen---from the Left or Right.

Anne Coulter strikes me as the type who is just playing a popularity shock game--I am not 100% sure that even she believes some of the crap she writes.

But, Malkin is a completely different story; she makes crap up...ignores history...and just generally seethes over perceived insults from "Liberals."

She is good looking enough to be used by the Right now...when her looks fade, she's done.

Which, by the way...seems to be another difference between her and Annie....While Malkin is being used by the Right.....Anne Coulter is USING the Right to stretch her 15 minutes to 45.

If you get a response back, I'll be surprised if it's coherent enough to understand.

Stephanie

5. You were way too nice.
That skank deserves to have her lies thrown back at her much more nastily than that.

If she can't take it, she shouldn't dish it out.

6. I thought about being nastier, but...
I try very hard to muffle that part of me. My mom, bless her heart and RIP, always told me to be polite but firm when dealing with an unreasonable person. Although she didn't always practice what she preached (heard a few really, really good rants from her on the telephone as I was growing up LOL!), I've always tried to follow her advice. I can be really nasty if I let myself go, but it's not really something I'm proud of, so I try to keep it in check!
Guess I'm a true, blue and proud Liberal. (And no, I'm not trying to make any point about your view or politics or opinion. I respect your opinion and appreciate your response to my post.)

9. Great letter
Something like that is much more effective (as well as decent) than just shooting a load of invective.

She'll recognize that there is an intelligent person writing it. It probably won't change anything, but at least it challenges her stereotype that the left are all fire-breathing crazies.
