Let's just say Bush decided to end the Iraq War |
|
If tomorrow Bush ordered all troops out of Iraq in 6 months--to in effect, end the war--he would get a huge bounce in the polls. He would get political credit for ending the clusterfucked, phony war that he started. It would be treated by the news media as a Nixonian act of enlightened foreign policy statesmanship. Remember that Nixon got a momentary bounce in the polls for ending the Vietnam War, until Watergate began to hit the headlines. On the other hand, if John Kerry was president and did exactly the same thing, he'd be crucified for "cutting and running"; "there go those Democrat appeasers again, coddling up to our enemies". This is so unfair as to be maddening.

2. If * Ends The War It's Because........ |

they know the prospect of getting impeached is high and this is a last ditch effort to garner support against impeachment.

4. Bush won't decide to end the Iraq war because |
|
he's a stubborn, egotistical dictator. We need to take advantage of the situation and get Democrats elected in 2006 and 2008. Republicans may be more receptive than we think. Remember, it was Vermont Republican Senator George Aiken who essentially ended the Vietnam war - "Declare victory and get out."

6. If Bush ends the war, it will be his fucking disaster.... |
|
That means he will have done one redeeming thing, out of all the bullshit. It means virtually nothing.
If Bush has to end the war, it will be by going against the Mossad government which he is truthfully afraid of.
They want this war to continue at whatever cost, and have Cheney in place to make it continue. Bush will have to stop his mis-adventure and be taken down for whatever crimes he is proven of.

7. I hope he does, even if it means our children think he's great |
|
it will mean less people die, and that's what I'm really concerned about.

8. Either way Bush will be held accountable.... |
|
It will take the people to make him see the light, to end this hopeless black hole.
