If the "family" of Casey Sheehan are going to make a political statement.
Couldn't they at least use their names? How do we know this is real?

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Just raising questions.

3. who's using their family member's names for political purposes now?
I mean, do you think every single one of those cousins gave their tacit approval and permission for this "press release". Did they all have a big "family meeting" or did cousin A and cousin E miss the meeting. Speculation's a bitch.

12. I hope those "numerous cousins" couldn't sign their names to this letter
because they are in Iraq. Nothing grates my nerves more than big mouths supporting the war from their La-Z-Boys! :grr:

2. On AAR, Cindy says this comes from an aunt and a godmaother who
had virtually no relationship with Casey. They pleaded for them not to vote for *, but they did anyway, so Cindy hasn't spoken to them since.

I don't speak to my in-laws for much of the same reason, and I haven't lost a child to the hands of this merry band of murderers. I can't imagine what this must be like for the good and decent members of the Sheehan family.

5. Actually, I recall Cindy saying that it did come from her husband's
parents and his sister. That for years they would banter about their differences in politics, but she was very angry with them when they voted for Bush again. She also said that her husband and her children support her totally, and I believe it was Will Pitt who said, her husband will be writing something in support of Cindy.

9. They've announced on the radio that her husband has left her...
very sad. Can't have been much of a husband if he would leave his wife over her activism.

11. A lot of times couples split over the death of a child. Not sure if
Cindy and Pat are truly estranged or not.

15. "Along the way, she and her husband, Casey's father, have separated".....

...

For a woman who describes herself as having been "pathologically shy" as a young wife, Sheehan, 48, has been transformed from a grieving mom to a bona fide media celebrity. Along the way, she and her husband, Casey's father, have separated.

''We both are handling our grief differently," she says on the 5-mile ride into Crawford. "He agrees with the philosophy behind what I'm doing, that the war was wrong and George Bush lied, but he doesn't understand that I have a passion that I have to do this and this is the only way. If I can shorten the war by one minute and save one life, that would just give me so much comfort in my grief."

16. They are separated. BTW... how do you know he left her, and because
she is an activist? Unless you have a link, that is a big supposition on your part. Or maybe she left him? People separate and divorce for many many reasons, and a loss of a child is often a contributing factor.

6. Just following "Bush-speak"
Didn't Cindy say he only referred to her as "Mom" and didn't even refer to Casey as he or him, but only referred to him as "your loved one". I suppose that makes it less time consuming as he goes from room to room with his blank eyes and fake smile.

Looks like maybe he could meet with the "family" and just call them "aunt", "uncle" "cousin". They sound like W's type of sheeple.

8. Cindy gave birth to this man. CASE CLOSED. The "family" members
should be ashamed of themselves for issuing this statement. As his mother, she has the right to mourn and protest his death in any way she sees fit. Shame on them for turning their backs on her and implying that she is seeking her own notoriety. I'm sure she would give anything, including her life, to never have had to have a reason to be in Crawford Texas! Shame, shame, shame...

she's doing a fantastic job on her own.
