2. I don't use gasoline to clear my nose a fraction of an ounce at a time
I burn it by the gallon in my automobile.

Vive la difference!

7. oh god
I bet the spent 20 minutes on it

pulled prices from every foreign nation and then

added the inflation and said it was only like 29 cents higher per rate of inflation than it was during the 70's

I was screaming at the tv.

IN foreign countries they have higher wages/better health care ect

8. Totally tacky, but I think Daryn had a recent eye lift -- and her make-up
today somehow made her look like a Kewpie doll. Someone posted gossip here the other day that her relationship with Rush, amazingly, was jeopardizing her anchor job at CNN.

13. She actually IM's him during commercial breaks
Buh Bye, Daryn Kagan (being "let go" by CNN)

the following is a post from www.atrios.blogspot.com

Creepy

I certainly don't think that people should be fired for their personal relationships off the job, no matter who they're with, unless they make doing the job impossible for some reason. Still. this is creepy. Kagan&Limbaugh:

Update: 5:16pm: "I'm a CNNer and I can tell you that when she anchors her show, during commerical breaks, she AOL IM's with Rush from the set," a tipster says. "It's HIGHLY innappropriate, and I, for one, won't be sad to see her leave"

16. More CNN Idiocy. Their 'Fact Check' Segment Around Noon
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 12:30 AM by loindelrio
(following Kagan/different anchor) stressed that gas prices are still below their historic (adjusted) high in 1981. They closed the segment comparing the cost of a dollar of gas with the cost of other items (bottled water, milk, Jack Daniels, etc. On Edit: and yes, nosespray)

The entire tone of the piece was 'what are you complaining about, things have never been so good'.

Must have been the propaganda message of the day.

If they were doing an actual fact check, they would present the FACT that the mid and late 70's price spikes were due to transitory geopolitical problems. What we are facing now is an age of chronic shortage due to geologic (and thermodynamic) constraints.
