Norm Coleman's 2008 re-election challenge |
Ok, everybody here hates Coleman for what he said about the late God-among-men Paul Wellstone, so we all really want him out in 2008. What do you think of Al Franken running? Conservatives are putting up guys like Arnold, and now there's talk of Dennis Miller, Nugent and Kelsey Grammer, why don't we put up our own celebrity with personality? And all isn't just a limo-liberal. He's incredibly bright, a Harvard graduate, award winning novelist and he knows more about politics than a lot of Washington types do already. Plus, he's good friends with Clinton, Gore and a lot of other bigwigs in the party, so he'd raise a shitload of money and he'd be able to put together a great staff. Oh, and he's from Minnesota. What do you guys think of this

2. Al Franken's from Minnesota? |
I had no idea. I'm from Minnesota, and I want Rep. Betty McCollum to be our next senator. I keep thinking that either she or For. State Aud. Judi Dutcher will run, and either would be fine by me. Just as long as Coleman is out of office.

5. Didn't she want to spend public funds on a new stadium? |
Like Wesley Clark (look at his voting record, he surely is not a Dem or anything even approaching one), she's a puke in Dem clothing too - or at least a "partial puke", I shouldn't be so spiteful. We all know the sports industry bathes in money and uses money as fodder for their fireplaces and even uses money as prophylactics. Let alone the outragous fees it charges a blind and numb clientele... They don't need ANY taxpayer funds to help them indulge in their shameless greed. All Dems should know that, even the "moderate/conservative" ones. The sports industry needs outright reform, NOT special treatment.

We could have a "draft Franken" movement. I'm sure he could be persuaded to move back to St. Louis Park, which is quite pleasant--for a suburb.
