When Bush said in 2000 that he would "jawbone" the Saudis into
opening the spigots if the price of oil rose dramatically...do you suppose he meant french-kissing Prince Abdullah (or whatever the hell his name is)?? 'Cause that's all I've seen the dumbass do.... meanwhile, in another part of the forest, the budgets of American families, as well as our economy,is being DESTROYED by high gas prices.
Clearly, now is the time when we could really use the "jawbone" of an ASS!!!

1. The average person drives 15 miles to work one way.
600 miles a month. Maybe a few more.

While gas would not cost on average $20 more per month, most can get by without buying that precious DVD or fitting in shopping trips enroute to home.

I've stopped buying everything except necessities. I am also going out and making and meeting friends.

I view the decimation of our economy as means for people to wake the fuck up, ditch the separatist items of our petty empire (TV, video games, et al) and socialize and get to know one another.

For THAT is our only salvation.

4. Hubby is a computer fix-it guy.. I gotta ask him what his weekly
milage is. (And he has been using the SUV a lot lately because the VW won't behave.. not that the VW is wonderful on gas either.)

5. I noticed yesterday, that EVERYTHING had gone up.....diapers. lettuce,
ibuprofen...all due to the rising costs of transportation, I'd assume.
It's gonna get ugly no matter if you drive or not...

2. That ass can waggle his jawbone 'til he's dead, for all the good it'd do
Bush can't talk us down from Peak Oil, no more than he can cool the sun with a wave of his hand.

He ignores science at his own peril. And—unfortunately—ours.

3. He was bashing Big Dog for letting it get to $20
He's a worthless loser who will say anything and two minutes later forget he ever said it.
