What we should learn from Cindy and 8 women in a barn
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 02:02 PM by NoMoreMrNiceGuy
Did you know that the women's right to vote started when 8 ladies got together in a barn in up state NY? Just eight people started something that changed this country for the better. Look at what is happening with Cindy...see the ground swell overflow so that even the MSM can't ignore it. Listen folks, we have over 70,000 members here...what do you think we could do if we really put all our resources and talent into changing this country. Isn't our democracy worth saving? Look what Cindy is willing to do for her child and other people's children. Aren't your children and all children worth the effort it would take to make a real change? I don't want to get anyone mad but really..honestly...has the democratic party been our friend or have they taken our vote for granted? Sure there are some good ones but did they change the world when they had control. I guarantee you the country and the world can be changed for the better...anyone who says it can't either don't want it to change or they've been brainwashed to believe as such. I'm far from being the smartest person who posts on this site but we have some very intelligent people here who could organize either a whole new party or reform the democratic party. All we should ask for is total transparency...no hiding of anything with lame excuses....that's how you keep people honest. Like I say I'm not the smartest but I would put every free hour I have into making this happen...as I'm sure many of you would as well. If you take anything away from what Cindy has done realize that we can do amazing things...we just got to really want to do it...or we can be controlled like cattle...it really is up to you.

2. You said it!
See what happens when a few people just will not back down? :)

Get in a few faces and make some history. :)

Challenge.
Ask questions.
Don't just accept things the way they are.

:)

4. Right on! 90 percent of the world is love. Love does not mean...

7. Sometimes you have to do the "right" thing...
not the so-called "popular" thing, and put yourself out there and stand up for your principles.

Yes, you will obviously get flack from people who cannot accept that, but in the end, they don't really matter. :(

3. Agreed! Ready, willing and able
here; We're alive and well in Salt Lake City... even if they did just name Provo, UT as the most conservative city in America.

5. I agree
I have been listening and reading..and thinking about all the members here. I even , uggg.. went over to the freeper site and read that we will never win because we don't rally like we did in the 60's. He feels that because we don't have the numbers, that implies that the majority of Americans love this president. Does this freeper have a point?

Where are we? We all know that the freeps are wrong. We know that we are the majority, but where are we? How can we change this? How can we come out in droves showing that the majority of Americans do not support Bush?

I am so frustrated, angry and moved by Cindy. I am doing my best by calling, donating and emailing but its simply not enough. How can we get the support and the rallies going that will make a difference, how can we all follow in Cindy's footsteps?

We need to do something, and we need to do it in droves.
