I don't understand why counterprotesters feel they must come to Crawford
Their guy is in the White House with a lapdog Congress that has all the independence of Saddam Hussein's Iraqi parliament. They have a corporate owned media that is far more influential to most Americans than the Left's media outlets. The government's war powers are even more firmly under their side's control.

Taking to the streets is an understandable tactic for people who are locked out of institutional bases of power, but it seems like a questionable thing to do when their people hold all the positions of power that actually make and shape public policy.

I can only conclude that these counterprotestors feel an overprotective need to rush to their president's defense every time someone dares to say something critical of him. It's almost as if they view him as a little child who cannot dare to be criticized, lest someone hurt his self-esteem.

10. Yes-- it shows that Cindy and the other members of the reality
based community are a true threat!! So it may not
be such a bad thing after all. (although I find it
galling that people dispute her right to do what
she's doing)

They want her to melt away. They want her to disappear.
THey got their pound of flesh-- now they just want to
throw her away like a piece of garbage.

Cindy will NOT go quietly. She WON'T!!

She has become a true hero.

2. EVERYTHING these days is psy-ops or whatever the word is.
They are being carried over there, they don't even come of their own free will. It's just so there are other pictures shown in the news than those of a grieving mother and people opposing the Bushistas. I'm far away but I'm convinced they leave again as soon as some "good" pictures are taken.

5. False pride, ignorance.
And the insatiable need to destroy the truth. Deep down inside and in quiet moments by themselves conservatives know they are wrong and because of their actions our country while not yet fucked is making its way to the bedroom and they are to blame. They are too fucking proud to say sorry we were wrong, let us help fix this problem we created. And one of the cornerstones of being a conservative is ignorance. Just take a gander at what they believe. They'd rather shout and holler and believe than study and apply themselves and learn.

9. My personal belief is that they were there to incite violence, so that
Cindy and others could be arrested.

11. Cindy said she doesn't care if she is arrested. I hope those she's
with don't allow themselves to be provoked by the freepers.

Non-violent resistance is the ticket.

14. . . . does this mean . . .
Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 05:29 PM by TaleWgnDg
.

. . . does this mean . . . that the hate-filled Fred Phelps and his kids have arrived in Crawford, Texas too?

The infamous Fred Phelps and his adult children of the (tax loophole) "Westboro Baptist Church"
demonstrating self-loathing and their overall hate and discontent

16. Ya know?
All these counter-protesters who want to tell Cindy Sheehan to just "get over it", should take the bus that got 'em to Crawford down to their local recruiting station and SIGN THE HELL UP! Wotta bunch of COWARDS!
