2. Plus, Rick inSanitorium hates the NOAA weather site.
That's all the more reason to use it.

4. You just gave me a great idea!
I have Weather Bug Plus, a (paid) internet weather service that allows me to monitor 4 different locations in considerable detail. I took one out and replaced it with a Crawford location ("Camp Cindy"). Tentatively, I've selected Baylor Discovery center as the monitoring point. I'll search around for what may be a closer site, but I doubt it would make much difference in that open flatland area.

6. A request:
I have Crawford in my Weather Bug, and I can monitor that location in detail throughout the day. I also have MS Streets & Trips running in my laptop, and have just set it for Crawford. Can anyone here supply the actual street and/or road names, so I can zoom in on that exact location? I can't make the trip, and the amount I'll be able to contribute will be modest. But I'd like to do something to bring her and her supporters a little "closer" to me.

BTW: Is there a DU-approved contribution site available?

7. Well... not DU approved
but Cindy approved :)

The Crawford Peace House is the staging location where everyone is "living". They provide internet, phones, kitchens, local contacts, etc. They were in real bad financial shape before the protest, so anything there would be money well spent. Cindy asked for donations to them. They are using the money to pay expenses, provide vans, protest/park rental fees, and whatever else is needed to support the protest.

You could also donate to Gold Star Families to Peace, Cindy's group. It wouldn't go to the protest directly, but would probably get used in DC in September (and some of it might go, but I'm not entirely sure).

9. The Crawford Peace House sounds good enough to me.
I notice that they have PayPal, so that's the way I'll go.

Also, can anyone here help me on the specific directions to Camp Cindy? As I said above, I'm not headed out there, but I want to pinpoint it on the map. I think we're at a historic tipping point, and I want to get as "close" to this as I possibly can.
