My 1000th post "No Name Soldier "

It's the name of my Nephews/Nieces new Alternative Punk Band. And I get to play Bass for them, for awhile anyway :) ... So we recorded this song about two weeks ago and we are going to have a 'World Premier' here late night August 13th 2005 on the DU for you guys!!! To wake all you commited night owl progressives up ... cause you deserve it !!! :)

I read earlier today here on the DU questions of where the hell are all the new anti-war songs? :shrug: So I pushed the ball up the court and worked on this website today to get this shit out there, so here we go. It's Punk, it Rocks and I consider it a pre-emptive strike on any proposed 'draft' the Bush Regime has in store for the kids. PLEASE .. download it, steal it, pass it on anywhere and everywhere, especially for the kids, play it over and over and over again and get it into their heads. I better get some votes for this, especially from the punk rockers :) anyway it's called "No Blood For Oil" and it can be accessed through http://www.nonamesoldier.com ....the song should start playing automatically (the lyrics are on the page too, sing along). And Cindy Sheehan, you Rock, my nephew named his band after the almost 1900 soldiers that have given their lives for this so called 'nobel cause' and we all here at the DU love you and yours, keep the faith, prayers. We are all with you, and those with you in Crawford for what you are attempting to do for our kids, and our world. Peace.

yea that's my nephew and neice with me. My neph has written some awsome songs, got a way younger start in music than I. Wish they didn't have to deal with the world sitituation the way it is at their age now, but they are very aware. Again thanks for listening and checking out the site ... peace. :)

I play guitar and sing. I was in a band last year, but we broke up since we all went to college in different places. I want to start a punk band when I get to Chicago.

The lyrics are good, and the style is great. Plus, from the drawing, the drummer is the girl. That's hot.
