The difference is Google news versus regular Google. Google News will just be news stories whereas regular Google will include everything where her name appears including this thread (after a while) which isn't a news story. If you're wanting to know how many news stories there are, you're doing it the right way. Obviously there aren't 1.2 mil + news stories.
