Where Do You Think Things Will Be in 6 Months??
Last week I watched a number of financial networks and was sickened by what I saw. There were a number of arrogant (and wealthy) financial investment bigwigs who smirked at the onslaught of oil prices and assured us that no matter what price is thrown at the American people it just doesn't seem to effect the economy at all (these are the assholes who are guiding investments in this country??--unbelievable!). My god, this time there is hell waiting right around the corner and they are so out of touch with reality that they have no clue.

Don't these morons consider that in just a couple months the "other" oil shoe is going to drop---i.e., people will face fuel oil prices?? Yes, they will still buy the oil for their cars and homes because they have to; BUT they will have to make big cuts in other areas of their spending to afford it and to afford other necessities that are going to have gas prices added into their price (like food). That spells a domino effect of business collapses and unemployment. And, as a very recent poll that's been touted on the networks reveals: two thirds of Americans say they will face serious financial hardship if these prices stay like they are or grow worse!!!

The rich and arrogant are going to have a real wake up call. There's going to be a pile of selling off on the stock market. It just stands to reason that you can't keep beating the middle class to death and think that there need not be an end to it. That also means that average Americans are going to start demanding severe cuts in taxes. Once the support under the poor and lower class is kicked out by eliminating so many social services, these people become a dangerous element. They are not going to sit on the street corner and conveniently die. There's going to be a lot of criminal activity and violence as a result with limited police and firefighters to handle the situations.

Oh, I'm sure the "distraction" is already in the oven---attacking Iran. This time there will be no support. People think of themselves first and they've already done the "throwing" billions at blown up rat holes.

Also, I expect the repukes will try to create hatred for immigrants as a sideshow like they used "gays" in '06. That will add to violence.

No longer is "someday" years and years away. Oil is going to flush this country into a hole it's never been in before. Perhaps it will serve to remind people of just what "class" they are and make them realize that if they don't start fighting these animals together, they are going to be longing to live as well as a third world country's peons!!!

1. if they go after immigrants...
they lose a large part of the Latino vote and we coast in '06 & '08. I hope we hear a lot about Tom Tencredo and the minuteman over the coming months.

2. You're saying essentially the same thing I've said on several other...
DU threads. Here is a link:

(I think you might find my analysis useful: that what we are witnessing is the full-scale resumption of class-warfare -- this after the New Deal truce, which {in response to the growing Communist plurality in 1930s America} was never intended to be anything but temporary.)

3. in 6 months
I fear we will have witnessed another attack on U.S. soil. We will be at war in Iran. We will be under martial law, and the hints of civil war in this country will be talked about.

These nut jobs are at full speed ahead, when EVER in your lifetime have you seen things progress this fast? I ask people of all ages, they say they can't remember. The rape and pillage of this planet by this cockroach administration has got to stop!

I hope to god nothing that I fear will come to fruition.....I would rather be called a crazy than to be right about this!

6. The beautiful thing about mushrooming energy prices is their negligible
impact on the cost of living. If you don't believe me, take a hard look at the statistics the government puts out, listen to those wealthy investment gurus, and ignore its impact on your individual budgets.

10. Great Depression II, draft, new terrorist attack...
I see that by October the stock market will be in a death spiral, djia less than 5000, and the Second Great Banking Crisis will create turmoil in international markets. We will not be worrying about the cost of gas (as much) because there will be a huge deflation in all consumer goods - the focus will shift to the worthlessness of the US dollar, which will have collapsed until tremendous debt and falling bond prices. Overseas markets will start dumping Treasuries is search of more stable currencies, which will only add fuel to the fire.

Diplomatic situations will be ceasing everywhere in line with the economic failures, and new wars will start popping up everywhere. I see India and Pakistan attacking each other. China will make incursions into several neighboring countries, especially Taiwan, which we will support. It may end up that we are at war with China, as well as most of the Middle East.

The draft will be re-instated because there will be another terrorist attack on the US, threat levels will be deemed too high from the other foreign entanglements, and civil unrest in the US will increase, including riots and martial law being instituted to keep the peace in several large cities.

I hope I'm wrong on all of them, but I get a sick feeling that it's exactly where we are headed...
