1. That is a political philosphy - Dean has bought into that
from the beginning. He thought that if he could get ahead in the polls - many would flock to him - he forgot that most of us are itelligent-thinking-logical beings.

2. Sadly, I think that is the case with many voters.
That's why the corporate media always used to refer to Bush as the "Wildly Popular pResident Bush." If people think Bush is popular, then he is.

You'll note that they do not now refer to him as the "Barely Breaking Even in the Polls and Sliding Fast pResident Bush."

4. It happens all the time. I don't what percentage of
voters, but suffice to say enough to swing elections.

5. Yes
There will be conservatives who will have to choose between Ahnold and McClintock. Some will choose Ahnold.

6. No but I have a son who voted Bush and I asked him why.
He said he worked on the swimming pool at Walkers Point and Barbara Bush came out and gave them a cool drink then she had them come in a talk in her kitchen. I just did not know what to say.

7. It's fairly common, surely
Otherwise why do candidates put so much emphasis on the early primaries?
