If the DoJ investigates the Plame affair... |
|
are the proceedings held in an open setting or behind closed doors? Also, is this proceeding more of a grand jury type affair or simply a fact finding mission?
What is the next step if DoJ finds no evidence of a crime? Can the White House stonewall an investigation such as this like they did with Cheney's energy papers. Just curious.

1. The DoJ is one of the greatest misnomers in the US at this point. |

If they "investigate" nothing will be found here... just keep moving... Or even they will send Wilson and wife to jail for having the arrogance of existing.

is that the DOJ does a review of the information that the CIA has given them and then they decided whether or not there is enough evidence to turn the matter over to the FBI to investigate.
However, with Asscroft in charge it will be interesting to see how he weasles out of this situation. He'll probably decide that god anointed Bu$h so the laws of man do not apply to him.

Do you think the CIA is just going to forget about it if that's the case? I kinda don't. This really must play out fully or we really come out of this one step closer to a true fascist state. IMO

The very notion of Ashcroft performing his office appropriately is a laugh riot.
National security of the US threatened by the outing of an agent who was investigating a central issue in the ongoing world-wide war on terror by a member of this administration -- or a cancer patient smoking marijuana: guess which one Ashcroft would pounce on first?
