Poll question: Regarding Cindy Sheehan: What Do You Hope Bush Will Do?
Whether he meets with her or refuses to meet with her, he's in a NO-WIN situation. Politically speaking, which course of action will cause Bush the most harm?

I hope George Bush... (select answer below)

3. If he meets with her, the right will start in with the...
Look how COMPASSIONATE he is! He took time to meet with her and EVERYTHING! Well, if she still has a problem, she's just an America-hating liberal!

Ugh, it makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

5. Bush controls the voting machines; bush controls the gub'mnt
I believe bush does not care at all.
I also believe this will in no way slow
the invasion of Iran (or anything else, for that matter).
This is window candy for those who think bush cares
what people think. He does not.

Having said that, Cindy Sheehan is awesome.

7. The reason that I hope he meets with her...
is because I keep hoping to see just one shred of compassion from this administration. I haven't seen any in 5 years and with each issue, I hope it's the one. I want to be proven wrong about their motives and beliefs because if I'm right, it's only going to get worse and what will three more years do to us?

8. I hope that B*
meets with Cindy. Because I want to see her pierce his heart with the blinding truth of her personal 'holy war' as she called it. How many of us, even if we lost a family member, could take it directly to the doorstep of the powerful individual in this country, the man who has ultimate responsibility?

Yes, he should have talked to Cindy at the beginning of the protest. But to do it carries a big risk. He is deathly afraid of the power she holds. If she looks him straight in the eye and says "Tell me why you sent my son to a war based on lies...why did Casey die?" --there would be no answer but the buzzing of the bees in the cottonwood trees. Talking points would suddenly evaporate into thin air. The commander-in-thief would be left staring straight into the Truth of the morally bankrupt and criminal policies which led this nation into a disastrous war of imperialism. Our fearful leader is going to have to face that someday, but I'm sure the moment of shedding unreality is shelved for much (much) later.

Right now, Unreality Rules. He has a strong support system for NOT meeting with her. To do so would look 'weak' in Bushworld.

9. GET US OUT OF IRAQ - period.

I don't give a rat whether he meets with her or not. Frankly, every day that goes by that he doesn't, makes him look even more Weaselly.

I hope that Cindy's protest is the straw that breaks the camel's back so to speak - that is, the beginning of the end of our occupation there.

I hope bu$hit will eventually be FORCED to pull out due to lack of support and the fact that WE KNOW HE LIED and 1800+ people died because of it. Cindy has shone a GLARING spotlight on that and it us UNDENIABLE.
