It is beyond that here...$2.70 is lowest grade, self serve
They do not even have the prices listed for premium grade or diesel right now. And you only get full service here if you have a handicap sitcker. Otherwise, you pump it.

21. They're playing both sides...
with the lion's share going to the Slugs. It's a shame the DLC is whoring itself out so cheaply. This is ONE of the reason's I am anti-DLC. Any Party that sells itself out to big business can kiss my ass. They'll not get another dime from me. I'll support candidates based on merit, not because they're DLC approved. This shit REALLY pisses me off! :grr:

23. I think sig lines are important. I think this one says it all
I myself do not have the brilliant prose some of our leaders have, so if I feel a quote is important, it goes right there. I have had this one for some time now.

7. Exactly, and they even removed some cities from the stops
in the last couple of weeks.

NO public transit here...none...you have to drive to work if you live in the burbs.

6. 3 good reason why!!!
1. No good information on oil exists inside of OPEC. There is no independently verified estimates of OPEC production rates or reserves. If we had a firm accounting of how much oil is really left and what fields are in decline then the markets might stabilize around a price that makes economic sense. Maybe mention Matt Simmons' book.

2. Add that OPEC has publicly stated that they cannot produce any more oil than current production rates and that non- OPEC producers have had a decline in production despite the high prices that should encourage more production. If price instead of geology drives supply then why hasn't this mechanism worked yet.

3. Tell them that we only have ourselves to blame for not using technology The average vehicle fuel efficiency has actually decreased since the the late 1980s and many of the new hybrids are being built for enhanced performance instead of fuel efficiency.

stay under 400mph to conserve fuel.

How 'bout a good stall at about 10,000ft to make his crap his drawers?

13. My FIL almost punched me last weekend when I brought this up.
He's a big fan of W and was complaining of high gas prices.

I guess I deserved in getting his hackles up - it was a slap in the face.

I wouldn't mind so much if my work wasn't completely out of the transit system!!!
I checked: it would take me 3 hours to get to work by bus.

18. We yo-yo here everyday
sometimes hourly all day.

However, this is the largest single hour jump I have ever seen (cept for that asshole who was drive out of town on the day after 9/11 when he raised gas to about 8 bucks a gallon, stupid idiot made the national news, his wife eventually divorced him, and his independent gas station lost their supplier)

19. I haven't checked around here yet today.........
it was $2.57 yesterday (Western New York) so I guess I'll have to check later when I take the dog for a walk. If it's gone up 31 cents here, my car isn't leaving the driveway for quite some time. I have the luxury of being retired and not having to drive. I live near town so I can walk practically everywhere.
bush and oil companies can kiss my rosy, red ass. Of course, bush WOULD NEVER dip into the oil reserve or stop the gouging buy his pals in the energy cabal. bush himself is in all likelihood making money hand over fist during this energy "crisis". :eyes:
It's just another cog in the redistribution of wealth wheel run by the neo-cons. :grr: We're getting to the point where people are going to start a revolution. The economy cannot take this siphoning of our money off to the rich.

25. Unfortunately, due to urban sprawl, and a disgraceful lack of
public transit, we have no choice but to drive everywhere, including the grocery store, dry cleaner, work, dentist, doctor, hospital, post office, etc.
