Talking about how W's statement about needing to go on with his life hurt her deeply. It's so hard to listen to her and not well up with tears.

14. Guy had a *really* hard time setting up |
|
It was too disorganized. I was checking in with him all day - it was a big mess.

16. Guy's broadcast was sabotaged, wasn't it? |
|
They were saying that they thought the phone lines at the Peace House were being messed with. It was very spotty. But I think they did an excellent job of broadcasting with Jan Michael ready to step in when the lines "went down". That in itself is a news story.

17. They were set up to do the show |
|
anyway at the last minute. He had been there since noon. He was going to try to take some calls over his cell phone if he could, but suddenly, they said, "You're on" while I was there. I figured he'd be busy at that point so I took off to help outside.

9. Wouldn't Randi be able to broadcast from the Peace House? |
|
I understand why she wouldn't be able to broadcast from the side of the road, but what about the Peace House??

The peace house would need an ISDN line for the sound to be radio quality.

13. Sheehan: "I don't understand why the counterprotest isn't bigger" |
|
She said there were about 20 counterdemonstrators on Saturday and about eight today. Sheehan doesn't quite understand why there aren't more people out there, seeing as how Texas is supposed to be Bush country.
She sounds composed, confident, and convicted. As opposed to a certain radio host who, it is rumored, is addicted to oxycontin.
Love to all from Camp Casey! Sheehan signs off.

18. I was surprised, too, when I went Saturday |
|
I expected to see hundreds of Bush-idols out there on Saturday, but there were just a few.
So much for the theory that Crawford is "Bush country!"

20. one way to do the show from Crawford |
|
Here's a low-tech suggestion. Get Laura Flanders, the Marks, or some other AAR personality in her seat at the studio. Randi can then head to Crawford and do the show via cell phone, interacting with her co-host at the studio. The sound won't be great, but it will be worth it.
