what's the deal with green faces?

I keep seeing pictures altered, always with green faces and red eyes. I really don't care about them. Is this coming from some kind of packaged software? Why green. Puh-leese.

In case you're REALLY interested, I use Photoshop Elements 3.0, and spend many hours air brushing... er, vandalising low res images. I wish there was a magical package that could take the images and ideas directly from my mind and turn them into ordered zeros and ones, but alas I cannot find this "packaged software." Plus, I don't want my skull and cerebellum to be 'upgraded' to accommodate the hookup. OW! x(

I know they can be disturbing to look at but you tend to remember the images he creates. DU has many talented artists such as Distressed American, MoPaul and Gatorboy. DU also has many talented writers too.
