1. Is there possibly truth to it? |
|
Just because Abramoff is a skunk isn't reason enough to dismiss that his stink didn't stick on more than those on one side of the aisle. Personally, I believe that if the Dem Party is to survive, it is going to have to clean house.

democrats who responded to this article said none of the donations from indian tribes had anything to do with abramoff and they did not know the man. this is not to say there are not greedy scoundrals in the dem party (dinos) who need to be purged.

Just like Ohio will touch one or two dems dumb enough to get so greedy, and worse, the whole political establishment in Illinois (both sides are equally indictable for corruption) it would only be a smart play by Arbamoff to cherry pick a bilateral group of thieves and scoundrels.
Aboslutely we need to clean house, starting with the guys that sold our soul to big corp. donors and made our party forget about labor, worker rights, ecology and more.
It is one thing to stick together through thick and thin. Unless the thick happens to be 30 counts of fraud and bribery, in which case supporting a criminal is deadly to our cause.

5. what i am getting at is this article is trying to deflect the stink |
|
from the gop to the dems by saying they also accepted donations from indian tribes...there is nothing wrong with accepting donations from indian tribes...what abramoff did is a whole nother story. this is a typical pug trick and that is why i thought the story needed to be rated. i don't doubt there are crooks parading under the dem banner, but that again is another story.

6. looks like Dems took money from Indian tribes (as the tribes wanted), but |
|
Abramoff gave illegal Indian tribe money to Repubs.
The article is using a "Indian tribe money" to slander some of the Dems who had nothing to do with Abramoff. The money they got came from the Indians on purpose.
At least that is what I got out of it.
PS - I haven't seen one article titled, Abramoff money tied to Republicans.
