AAR: Abramoff is talking! He is giving up info on murder of cruise owner

Do you fear for him?

What else is he going to talk about?

(The degree of info is unknown. If a deal is being stuck it is in question because AAR sounded like it was a deal, but it could have been a little sensational.)

The lawyer, Neal Sonnett, said after a brief scheduling hearing in federal court that Abramoff had expected to meet with Fort Lauderdale homicide detectives shortly after the February 2001 slaying of Konstantinos ``Gus'' Boulis.

The interview never happened, Sonnett said, and now Fort Lauderdale detectives are expressing new interest in talking with Abramoff.

``If they want to interview Mr. Abramoff, I'd certainly be willing to set that up,'' Sonnett said. ``He's always been willing to cooperate.''

Sonnett said he was unaware of any information Abramoff might have about the killing.

Fort Lauderdale police did not immediately return a call Tuesday seeking comment.

Seems to me if he was really of interest in the case, he would have been interviewed in 2001.

5. In order to talk, of course he'd have to have a
meeting with detectives. Hopefully he wants to save his hide a little and not take the fall for the whole bunch.

7. Oh, please God, give us answers...
This damned Gus Boulis thing has been haunting all of us South Floridian journalists ever since the ventilated man pulled into the parking lot of a Miami Subs and crawled to his death (irony note: Along with the Casino cruise boats, Boulis also owned Miami Subs)

9. ONE thing that influential insiders insist on is PROTECTION
If Abramoff is going to circle the drain, he will grab onto anyone whom he feels may have not "helped" keep him out of trouble...

These guys are not likely to bear the burden by themselves.. Abramoff IS the money man, so what he needed was legal protection.. His cohorts in congress did not uphold their end of the "bargain". He will rat them out..unless he meets with an 'unfortunate' accident or decides to 'end it all'.
