Chickenhawk, as defined by FR.
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 03:43 PM by nookiemonster
Sometimes it's just hard not to look at a good trainwreck.

Found this little gem at FR. It amazes me how homophobic types can know the lingo so well.

Me thinks, someone is protesting just a wee too much.

"chickenhawk" is a term gay men use to describe male homosexuals that have sex with boys under the age of consent, most others refer to these POS as "Pedophiles".

Interesting that this is the term the Left is using to describe hawks on the right.

Glad to see the freeptards are current with gay terminology.

If only they understood the common usage: hawks who never served

Yes, sometimes a dog pants, but that doesn't mean you can't still put them on your legs.

6. this is not untrue
The term "chickenhawk" is widely used by Gays, but doesn't necessarily mean Pedophile, as the idiot suggests. It means a penchant for younger men/post pubescent boys as well as the pedophile. It is many years old as a term.

homosexual terminology?! (being sarcastic - I don't care if conservatives are gay, straight or any combination thereof!)

I am not gay, but have never heard of this use of the word.

Chickenhawk
From SourceWatch
According to the online Chickenhawk Database, the term chickenhawk applies "to public persons – generally male – who:

tend to advocate, or are fervent supporters of those who advocate, military solutions to political problems, and
personally declined to take advantage of a significant opportunity to serve in uniform during wartime.<1> (http://www.nhgazette.com/cgi-bin/NHGstore.cgi?user_action=list&category=%20NEWS%3B%20Chickenhawks)
"Some individuals," it continues, "may qualify more for their political associations than for any demonstrated personal tendency towards bellicosity. Some women may be included for exceptional bellicosity."

The Online Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chickenhawk) defines a chickenhawk as "A politician or other person who promotes war without having had any personal experience of it; especially those who have avoided the experience." Another reference to chickenhawks is that "the closest they have come to a tank is a think-tank."

The term 'chickenhawk' is thought to have been coined by Ralph Nader.

11. Is it me or..
... are these people a little obsessed with homosexuality. Everything comes back to it for them. If they are 'god fearing heterosexuals' how would they know the other meaning of this word? I mean this isn't a usage I've heard in general conversation.:wtf:

So they don't get the fact that we are calling them cowards.:banghead:
