If the recall is close, we won't know til mid November |

I tried and tried to get through to c-span, but no go..
Vaugh Vervors reported that "something really unusual" happened.. Calif sent out or gave oout 2.1 MILLION absentee ballots..
This could cut both ways..
We used one, because we are leaving in 2 days, and will miss the election..
I wanted to alert c-span to the fact that perhaps Democrats did not TRUST the republican owned electronic voting machines and were wanting PAPER to assure themselves that at least THEIR ballots would be "re-countable.. I was going to try and slip in the fact that c-span should do a segment on BBV...but of course the damn phone was busy busy busy..
THEN I had THIS horrible thought:
How many of those are Republican ballots (a la "military ballots in Florida")???
Could some of you try to call in before the election, and plant this little seed for me ??? Pretty Please???

1. How is that a horrible thought? |
|
I mean Republicans are allowed to vote aren't they? I hate to be contrarian on this, but when anyone votes, even if I disagree with them, that's a positive thing.

"convenient" votes added at the end, after they know exactly how many they "need"..

with the very BIG problems there were with Florida's absentee ballots in the 2000 Presidential election? Military allowed to vote AFTER the election had ended? Many admitting they had voted TWICE?
There has ALWAYS been a real threat of voter fraud from absentee ballots. I can see why SoCal is worried.

4. Litigation around the court-defined faulty software will delay |
|
The machines being used and the fact that not everyone will be using the same systems will result in massive litigation delays in swearing in anyone.
