Cindy's support compared to Schiavo case on Aaron Brown. |
|
WTF??? Anderson Cooper agreed. How can they equate these two at all?

1. They're conservative mouthpieces. |

They can equate anything they want. 2 = 5? They'll spin it.

4. I compare the two all the time.. in pointing out how the RW loved |

supporting Terri and yet won't support Cindy.
Sounds like the coprorate media had a different take?

a principle that you can be for or against. :eyes: What am I not getting, because I don't see a comparison at all, and the topic is so vastly different and war should be vastly more important. Very screwed up...

7. I can see the comparison |
|
If you look at each objectively and observe only the outpouring of passion both cases inspired. I would argue that support for Cindy is more widespead, and and that she has significantly more crossover appeal than Schiavo, who was defended mostly by RW fringe groups.

Sheer idiocy. An attempt to make Sheehan an isolated "case", as opposed to something that involves every person in America. Who does Aaron Brown think is paying for Bush's killing of Sheehan's son? We all are! Every death in Iraq is something we have unwilling helped bring about.
Most Americans considered the Shiavo debacle a private affair and of no concern to themselves. The majority of Americans object to Bush's war. Get the dif, Aaron?

to keep brain-dead people alive against the wishes of the majority of Americans, and driving the country into bankruptcy while doing so.
I see your point, but the scope and urgency of the two issues is hardly the same.

little time I took to tune in...but on a lighter note, here are some quotes from Jay Leno's Tonight show just a few minutes ago..
All I could recall..
President Bush saw his shadow today, it seems that means six more weeks of vacation..
President Bush has released his summer reading material, it is reported they are all fiction, Jay adds, I guess he is saving the non fiction material when for when he decides to invade another country...
