42. CIA agent was tracking movement of WMD
Why would you want to aid terrorists by removing the hub that was tracking the movement of WMD(precursors etc) around the world?

OR maybe you do not want anyone to see the movement of WMD from point A to point B?

12. Barbara Boxer from Cali
Why would someone do this?

Clearly the idea behind attacking Wilson's wife because he gave the WH info they didn't want to hear...

Kill the messenger type of response...

It's about arrogance and intimidation.

It's the intimidation I want you to comment on...

NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS IF YOU CROSS US... WE'LL GO AFTER YOUR WIFE, YOUR KIDS

It's the lowest form of politics to go after your wife, your kids.

Comment on the whole struggle women are having to advance our career...

Thanks Schumer for picking up issue

Can't believe someone in WH would reveal identity, can't be happening

Question: Why would someone do this?

Wilson gave WH bad news (Niger) - kill the messenger, outed his wife

About arrogance and intimidation

Not about just one instance

We'll go after your family, kids

Lowest form of politics

Women struggling to advance careers, going into unusual fields, very few female FBI agents, Wilson's wife doing her work, climbing ladder, now future totally destryoed or harmed

Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 11:00 AM by Tatiana
We believe in the competition of ideas...free speech, free enterprise...

When you no longer have that, when people are afraid to say what they think because they'll be hit below the belt you have the beginnings of the fraying of a democracy.

This administration seems to have a peculiar intention (attention) to do this.

In addition there is an impuning of motive an impuding of character.

46. guess the other 85 or so senators don't care about national security,
or weapons of mass destruction falling into terrorist hands.

So much for the reasons for the jimmied up war.

Just like our troops NOT securing nuclear facilities in Iraq (but they did secure the oil fields) - lots of materials - there for the looting - there to be sold to... terrorists.

My guess is they are being fed by their pathetic strategists: it was just a leak (not imp) and that the american public is tired of investigations and partisanship, you will alienate voters if you push this thing too hard.
