Fineman: Shrub "Values His Vacation, Loves His Ranch"
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 06:59 AM by UTUSN
Howard the Duck on the sL-IMUS circus. He said that the SHEEHAN phenomenon would have happened, whether with her or some other soldier's mother, that the Shrubbites should have seen it coming and should have met with her, that they decided just to wait it out till she went away and she ain't going away. He said that the Dems are not thrilled with her role, that they do not want to run in '06 or '08 as being the anti-war party, that they want to run on MANAGING the war. They jawed about LBJ and Shrub, how "ironic" it was that it's another pResident from "Texas" and another war.

Then the-Duck referred to some "friend" of his who is an officer in Iraq (Duck's personal tie to the actual war), who NOW says the Iraqi people are just "tribal" and just want to kill one another, don't have a concept of what a constitution is, don't want our help, want us to get out of their way in killing one another, that every dang time this wonderful officer lays down a water line the Iraqis just take the money and don't do the job.

My my, the burden of Howard-the-Duck's noble warrior.

Oh, sL-IMUS referred again, daily, to KERRY's having visited the sL-IMUS "ranch" last week, in a Ford pick-up, towing a Harley, and that he rides a horse BETTER than Shrub ---uh, Shrub doesn't ride AT ALL. Duck just did a throw-away saying KERRY is a great athlete.

2. The land cost him $640.00/acre
Using the appraised value WITH the house. How nice do you think it possibly can be? People (in their right minds) don't live there.

7. How much has the secret service spent on fixing up the place...
....plus as a housing development and subdivided what does shrub stand to gain by selling off the ranch? Does either Crawford of Waco have a housing boom? What military-industrial installation is around there? Anyone check Fort Knox gold bullion supply lately?

4. If democrats run on MANAGING the war, they will loose....
...that works for getting the republican votes, but I think far more democratic and independents will say, "Screw that, get out now!".

6. I recall a period of 15 years
when the only days I had off were when I was so sick I couldn't crawl out of bed.

If you work at a place where vacations aren't part of the benefit package or there is not benefit package to even provide for sick time, you work your butt off whenever the boss says so.

I have a job now that gives me a generous vacation alotment, and somehow I still can't take a vacation. Go figure.

8. Democrats wanting to "manage the war".
If the Democrats run on that message in 2006, I just can't support that. Hopefully, most Democrats will NOT use that message.

12. Correcto-mundo, FINEMAN Is a Wingnut Tool
He's been a Shrub cheerleader (cheerleader's cheerleader, if you will) all the way-- salivating like Tweety over the baseballs pitched and the crotch shots.

14. He is averaging 75 fucking vacation days a year!
No, I'm not bitter at all...

:evilfrown:

Sure, baseball & football players get a lot of time off, but people don't fucking die when baseball or football season is over. Movie stars can take a ton of time off if they want, but terrorists don't fly planes into building after they ignore a PDB and go on a month long vacation.

Of the remaining 290 days a year, how many does Bush spend at posh fundraising dinners? I'm guessing at least another 75, if not more.

I'm lucky, I get 3 weeks vacation & 3 personal days per year. I value every single one of them. I'm sure people with less time than me value their time even more.
