Typical. Freaker Caravan to Crawford to Meet in Wal-mart Parking Lot
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1465815/posts

You can't make this shit up if you tried. I wonder if this Wal-mart knows that their parking lot is going to be used by a bunch of redneck chickenhawks to meet up before they drag their "Jesus on a trailer hitch" pick-up trucks down to Crawford.

When the Democratic Party had real power, a convoy of a couple hundred Teamster's Union Truckers would coverge on this Wal-mart and then lead the Freaker Caravan down to Crawford at 2.5 miles per hour on the freeway.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is from their post. I've highligted a few things I find "interesting"

Here's the more detailed plans for our event in Crawford on SATURDAY, AUGUST 27.

I have been in contact with the organizer of the Move America Forward Caravan Planner. We decided that the best place to meet up with the caravan is in Waco. We can meet in the WalMart parking lot at the intersection of I-35 and Lake Shore. That is on the west side of I-35.

I would suggest that if you plan to follow the caravan in from Waco, that you be at the parking lot no later than 11:45--they may be running later, but won't be there any earlier. If you can't or don't want to follow the caravan in, then come on over to Crawford

The last I heard, the caravan folks had not gotten a permit for a place to gather. I went ahead and got one for us--just to make sure we had a place. If they get one, and we don't need the one I have, I will cancel it. Unless he changes it, Police Chief Donnie has put us in the same place we were last time--only we have both sides of the stadium this time, and MAYBE the stadium itself. He is checking on that.

We have our permit from 9AM-5 PM, and I plan to arrive by 9AM.

Please help me ping everyone who was on the other thread--and add anything to this one that is pertinent and that I have forgotten, please.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Who's going to be with me is contact this Waco Wal-mart Store Manager?

1. Not me. Let them meet freely, as we do.

9. I Agree.
As long as they follow the law and have permits if required.

On the flip-side; there is nothing wrong with us voicing our displeasure with Wal-mart for allowing their property to be used, and there is definitely nothing wrong with some 18-Wheelers on the road in front of this caravan moving at a snails pace. I think civil-disobedience over high gas prices comes to mind.

There is also nothing wrong with some Texas DU'ers taking up as many parking spaces in this parking lot as they can.

All you would need to do realy is to put a sign up prior to the exit sign for the Wal-mart that says "Free Porn next exit" and they'd all get off there.

12. I disagree....
I can only see peaceful assembly and protest by any party as a good thing that should be welcomed and encouraged, and so I cannot agree with your sentiments expressed here:

...there is nothing wrong with us voicing our displeasure with Wal-mart for allowing their property to be used, and there is definitely nothing wrong with some 18-Wheelers on the road in front of this caravan moving at a snails pace.

I find both of those actions inconsistent with the esteem I hold for freedom of speech.

10. Freeper Magnet Fun...You're Supporting The Chinese Army
I spun some moron's head asking him to look and see where that magnet on his gas hog SUV came from. It said "Made In China". I said "yep, you're supporting the troops...in the RED Chinese People's Liberation Army". The magnet disappeared shortly thereafter.

3. Wal-Mart will be happy to host them
A certain percentage of the people meeting there will CERTAINLY go into the store to stock up on supplies for the day.

As well, I understand Wal-Mart allows travelers in RVs and campers to park/camp in their parking lots overnight.

A gathering of this nature would only be seen as a benefit.

4. I hope they order enough portapotties...
Sounds like all six of them that will show up are full of fecal excrement. So nice the Police Chief is looking out for them.

6. Stand back grieving mothers, you can expect a caravan at your door
when you dare express objections to the death of your son.

8. I really wish I could be there...
...to see what one of these ingrates looks like.

Bush's approvals are hovering in the low 40's. Support for the war is eroding to dust. You have to be a real nutjob to publicly stand in support of this failed, miserable, discombobulated war based on lies.

I say we get pictures of these intellectual amoebas. Then someday--when they try to say that they never really supported Bush/Iraq war--we will have the pictures to prove how utterly stupid they are.

I loved Clinton's politics, but I wouldn't have attended a rally defending his sexual indiscretions. I guess some of us don't blindly follow our leaders.

Do the freepers realize that they're supporting a failed mess that America is turning against--a mess that will be judged worse than Vietnam?

I say--we give these ridiculous nimrods just enough rope with which to hang themselves. Let them make fools of themselves.

13. I don't agree about the rope,
These folk are beer drinking, guzzler driving cross crushing idiots. To them a strong stance means beating up other people when you get the advantage. I don't want violence to mar this. The Republicans may want violence, just to end this issue, to make the protest end in violence. If they do become violent the only way that we can win is for us to take the beating as Gandhi's followers did. If we oppose violence using violence then we defend violence. I am praying that it doesn't have to get darker before dawn. It is already dark enough.

15. Nothing,
I love beer, I have even been known to occasionally brew it. I just don't approve or combining it with driving and running over crosses. I know, we have no record of him being drunk while doing this, but come on, what are the odds on this?

16. "Give them enough rope with which to hang themselves"....
...is just another way of saying that we let them screw themselves with their own stupidity.

I'm not advocating violence, or hanging--just expressing that they're going to do themselves in all by themselves. All we have to do is stand back and give them the freedom to do so.

No ropes or violence needed! :)

11. Maybe we could do our own Vaudvillian interpretation of the...
pRotest wArriors.

Just have a bunch of people show up with signs that basically mock them (which of course they would not "get") and pretend for hours that we're fReetards.

Wear your best wranglers. Pull them up just under your nipples. Buy yourself some of those cheesy boots with the pointed toes (real cowboys wear redwings, not those vanity wimp boots), a brand new trucker hat. A "RO-DAY-OH" belt buckle.

Shit...it could be more fun then Halloween.
