When fReepers say, "He already met with her!", what is your....
response?

My response to my Father was, "So?".

To which he replied with a blank stare. It was kind of funny. Like his brain went on "TILT!". No reply. No answer. Because he never stopped to think that it didn't really matter that he met her before.

Just as an aside. My Father has his Phd in information systems. Got his start on computers in the '60's while in the military. Very bright man. But it is amazing what 20 years of in the service indoctrination can do to a perfectly good brain.

3. Intellegence is not just capacity
it is also curiosity.

If you don't have the urge to ask questions,
it is rather moot how well you can answer them.

4. I say: That was on Bush's terms. He invited lots of moms....
It was PR and he couldn't even remember her name.
Now, she is asking for a meeting on her own terms. It is more authentic.

5. When he met with her the first time, he lied.
Cindy wants to know now why he lied. Simple.

6. "The Downing Street Minutes memo changed EVERYTHING about this war."
Casey was LIED TO HIS DEATH, and the DSM proves it.

7. Two things...
She was still in shock at the murder of her child.

A lot has happened since then. More lies have been exposed for one thing.

I would think it easier to loose a son in a just war than to have him die so a few people could get richer.

light and Cindy now realizes that this war was an effort planned way in advance and facts were fixed around the policy...

9. The Meeting was a strategical mistake...no biggie...
Forget the meeting...

Ask your father if he thinks all the thousands of Cindy-supporters that turned out nationwide were concerned with "the meeting" - they werent...they were they for what she stands for.

The meeting is irrelevant...at this point.

11. I say that she spoke with him *before* the Downing Street Memo
came to light. And, now she believes firmly that we were lied into Iraq. I believe that too and did before we ever went in. She is saying this over and over but that part is being ignored by media and those across the street.

12. Well, then, perhaps you can answer Mrs. Sheehan's question
What is the "noble cause" for which her son died? President Bush himself said his invasion of Iraq was for a noble cause just before he skedaddled off for yet another month's vacation (and how many jobs can you name where you only have to work 11 months out of 12 and still draw full pay).

Mrs. Sheehan's simple question is what is that "noble cause"?

13. No. He didn't.
He met with "Mom." He met with someone who's name he couldn't be bothered rememberimg, let alone the name of her son AKA "loved one."

14. My pat response is "he "met with" Ken Lay a helluvalot more than once"
Followed with something to the effect that I'm unaware of a One Meeting Per Person rule among the Bush Pioneers - is money more important than our troops' lives to this Administration? (rhetorical question, of course)

16. Imus had a great answer to that
Not my favorite guy in the world, but when one of the pundits was on his show one morning last week and pointed out that 'he had already met with her', Imus said: "I have you on my show all the time. Is that a problem?"

Doesn't translate well in print here, but it was effective when he said it.

18. Since he only called her "Mom" at the time
and said, "Who we all honoring today?" I'd say that he didn't ever meet with HER to talk about CASEY. It was a sham, a going through the motions of meeting with generic grieving families. He knows her name now though. :D

21. She has to sit in a ditch for a month just for Bush to know Casey's name.
It pisses me off that she HAS to do something THIS extreme to get his attention.
