When I Get To Crawford I Plan To Erect This Historic Marker At The Site!!!
I have said since this event first started rolling that what we were seeing was historic. I have made many comparisons to Rosa Parks and the Anti-war movement in the 1960's.

I have proclaimed this newly galvanized movement a force that will not be stopped. Metaphors I have used range from and avalanche to a steamroller.

I even argued at one point that Larry Mattlage would do better to bring lemonade to Camp than come out trying to run folks off with a gun because someday this spot was going to have it's own historic marker and that his home will probably be added to the National Register Of Historic Places.

Based on that comment, I decided this morning that when I arrive TOMMORROW (YEAH!), I will be bringing this graphic in a nice LARGE format to erect outside of camp:

-

AS ALWAYS, Feel free to spread it around. There are lots of locations that may need historic markers before WE ARE DONE!!!

And you forgot the mullet and the "GO USA" part. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Do you have an issue with him imitating the historical markers? 'Cause that would just be weird if you did.

22. After taking the tour of the Alamo years ago, I left with
the impression that what passes for history in Texas is jingoistic bullsh*t.

Admittedly, that was almost a decade ago now.

I hope such is no longer the case, even at the Alamo.

I'm all for celebrating our past; but only if it is done in an honest and truthful way.

7. Thank you so much for going down
to Crawford, Texas from New York and erecting that historic landmark that you created!

They can write all the sourgrape articles they want on why "Cindy is wrong" but it won't change the fact that Cindy is Right and she has helped galvanize even more supporters who think this was an illegal criminal crusade from the very beginning and there are people who didn't realize at first but can't help but understand it now.

(and I really hate to say this, and I'm saying this in a very little teeny, tiny voice, but you misspelled "prairie" and "chapel", and there's a typo the first time you use the word "thousands". Yeah, these little things jump out at me, which is why my husband always asks me to proofread his grant proposals and papers. :-) Oh, looking at it again in an even more picky way, there should be a comma after "Cindy Sheehan" {tiny, tiny whisper}.)

What a great idea your sign is! I really hope your prediction comes true. Send us pictures of your sign mounted at Camp Casey!

[on edit - oops, it took me awhile to compose my post (interrupted by kids), and it looks like some of the other schoolmarms here beat me to the spelling and punctuation lesson! :-) )
