Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 11:43 AM by blm
Imagine the ads the IAFF will run against the dictatortot. They'll use Bush's 9-11 photo ops AGAINST him.

The statements in the article are very strongly worded against Bush. The entire article is at the site.

Kerry celebrates firefighter endorsements

Kerry at the IAFF

Manchester, NH -

Sen. John Kerry turned his recent endorsement by national and state firefighters into a fresh opportunity Monday to criticize President Bush for letting down those who protect America's communities.

"I'm tired of politicians who come along and they're there when the bagpipes are played but when the flag is raised to full staff, they're nowhere to be found," the Democratic presidential hopeful said at a rally attended by about 75 firefighters from around New England.

"We need a president who understands it's not enough to talk about the war on terror, not enough to talk about front line responders," Kerry said. "You can't say to Americans it's not a question of if but when, and then not provide the ability to respond when the when happens.

Kerry won the backing last week of the International Association of Fire Fighters, the first national union endorsement to go to a Democrat other than Dick Gephardt. He also was endorsed by the Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire, which represents 1,200 firefighters across the state.

"New Hampshire firefighters understand the destruction and the havoc that have been wreaked by the Bush administration," said union president Dave Lang. "When John Kerry's president of these United States, we will have a White House that's for the fire house."

5. I understand...
I support them both myself. I couldn't bear to work AGAINST a man like DK who brought me into populist politics when I was a schoolgirl in 72. Once he decided to run, I decided to give to both equally.

8. they know bush is a fraud
look at the record. bush's record only consists of supporting by things he says. but never acts on them. kerry has a record of supporting them. not just because of the campaign, but years of it.
