1. on the country station this morn:
Thousands of anti-war protestors held dozzens of candle light vigils last night in support of Cindy S., the mother of a KIA Iraq war vet camping outside of Bushes crawford ranch..

3. CNN this morning said
"a few hundred vigils" for the number, and gave it a 30 second spot on headline news before moving on to whatsername at her son's funeral spouting about how the war should go on and giving her a two minute spot.

The messages I got were

"see, not everyone whose son was murdered in Iraq for freeeeedom wants this necessary war to end like that crackpot Cindy Sheehan"

"her grief is fresher than Cindy Sheehans, it's worth more"

"Cindy who?"

I notice the story is completely gone off the CNN site just now. Wonder what happened?

4. Our local vigil and Cindy's vigil got good coverage on our ABC station
Surprisingly enough, here in Asheville N.C. our local ABC affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcasting had very good favorable coverage today of our vigil in Asheville last night as well the one at Camp Casey. There was a picture and short mention on front page of local news section of our paper too.

But was puncutated by a Pro-Bush soldier wife in the middle of the report.

From a thousand people in the street to this women who said that is not the way to support the President and the War....her husband is coming and they are minus four friends of thiers that were killed in Iraq.

self delted durrogetory statement...

poor uninformed women apprently thinks Iraq attacked the Twin Towers...

7. Coverage
Our local Fox affiliate (not FOX NEWS!) covered with reporters two vigils, the main one in downtown Indianapolis, and the other one with a specific group of families who vigiled in a march elsewhere in the city. The coverage was somewhat positive, a rarity considering the sheer 'redness' of this state.

To vigilers local and nationwide, thank you all! :grouphug:

8. Front page here in "cracker town" Pa. and a positive spin;
Really expected pick- up trucks with 20 something shaved heads waving flags and looking to bust heads ,but all went well....$2.55/gal. gasoline is getting these guys to realize that they were being lied to from the start about everything....the shame is that it's not the war that is bringing Bush down, but the eroding economy.
