Sprindale, Arkansas



"Kathy Ries of Fayetteville, left, and Jim Davis of Farmington hold up signs opposing the war in Iraq at a Wednesday vigil in Springdale. Organizer Maya Porter organized the candlelight vigil in support of Cindy Sheehan, and 30 people attended. Vigils were planned across the country Wednesday night in support of Sheehan, a slain soldier's mother who has been camping outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. Sheehan has promised to stay for Bush's monthlong visit to his ranch unless he meets with her and other grieving families. A vigil in Eureka Springs was also planned for Wednesday.
