California Man Arrested Near Bush Ranch After Protesters Threatened
Charges were pending Thursday morning against a California man who was arrested Thursday morning after protesters were threatened at “Camp Casey,” the site where anti-war demonstrators have gathered near the President’s Central Texas ranch.

The man told deputies he was a Secret Service agent, officials said, but he wasn’t.

Complaints including making a terroristic threat and impersonating a peace officer are pending.

It was the third incident involving protesters since Sunday, when a nearby landowner fired a shotgun blast that startled demonstrators and Secret Service agents alike.

....Last night (about 1 a.m.), an unidentified man showed up at the camp pretending to be newly arrived, which isn't unusual. He was met by Cindy Sheehan's private security people, Patrick Miller from southeast Kansas and Dave Jensen from Tyler, Texas. The man said he worked for Jeb Bush and told Diane Wilson, a camp coordinator, that he could have her arrested anytime he wanted. He indicated, said Wilson, that he knew Secret Service men that happened to drive by.

Tammara Rosenleas, whose husband is now at Ft. Hood and is expected to deploy within a year, said she knew immediately something was amiss. An attorney from Louisiana chased the man down the road. The man left his car when chased. The car was towed and, according to camp sources, the man is now apparently in custody. Sheehan's security personnel praised the law enforcement officers for their prompt attention to this matter and their patience during the entire stay at Camp Casey....

1. I'm afraid there will be alot more of him before this is all
over in Crawford, we can be thankful that nothing bad occurred. Tensions are high and as always, those that decide the next GOP attack scenerios are no doubt egging on the ones that hardly require much of a push to go over the edge..

Again, if this is not proof of this administration encouraging division amongst it's people, I don't know what is.

2. I think they're loosing it on the right
http://www.usmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24253

these conservative fruitcakes will stop at nothing to protect their goofball president and his failed policies. They will even smear the mother of a fallen soldier.

These pricks don't support the troops. They'll gladly sacrifice even their own kids and they'll keep their mouths shut about it. Protecting their greedy, political power structure is the name of the game for them.

3. Any time you get big media coverage
you get a few nutjobs crawling out of the wood work. That's just the way it works.

4. It's about time these freaks of nature aren't getting off
This is just the beginning.

I won't be satisfied until and unless the ring leaders (Bush, cheney, Rove, DeLay, Santorum, Frist, etc.) are indicted for racketeering, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.

5. Amen to that!
And cowboy hats off to the law enforcement folks in Crawford! Seriously -- these guys have been great, after the initial thing of making folks walk in the ditches. I understand that when some of the Freepers came down, they were walking in the road until one of the Camp Casey folks pointed out that they had to keep to the ditches. The cops acknowledged that, and made the Freepers walk in the ditch also. And they arrested the creep who ran over the crosses, and the guy from this morning who was threatening people and saying he was from "Jeb's Secret Service." It's kind of ironic (and pretty delightful) that all over this country, the Freepers are getting away with crap like with the Denver 3, and yet in *'s own "home town", they are NOT getting away with it. Yee haw!!!! :applause:

You know, that attorney from LA, that chased him down the road, posts here at DU. If it's the guy I think it is.

on edit: Didn't mean to imply the attorney is a loon, but the guy from CA who was arrested.

7. Looks like the freepers have arrived.
Although I understand that we cannot post someone's personal info online, we do need to know who this creep and obvious threat is.

We must know what ties this person has to what groups.

Will the media down play this as well?
