I'm afraid the BTK killer is enjoying his wall-to-wall coverage --
Maybe I'm off base here, but having seen a few clips of him describing his horrors, it appears to me he's quite proud of them. I regret he's been the focus of the news going on two days now.

1. that was his goal all along...
...and it was only because his area of operation was a small media market that many people outside that area had never heard the story.

2. that's part of his M.O.
he gets off on the press and the notoriety. That's why he taunted everybody all of those years. It's also why he gave up so many clues to himself at different times. Getting caught and being the center of attention is another way for him to get his rocks off. He gets to revisit his kills as he's talking about them and hearing about them in court, in the press and so on. It's another way of him having some sort of power.

4. He is getting his 15 minutes of fame.....
...Now this man needs to begin to pay for his crimes by serving out his full prison sentence and by being studied by a team of the country's brightest psychologists. No book deals should be allowed until until these experts find out what really was the cause this insane killer's motives and to make those findings public.

After that any profits from book deals about this monster's life and insane killings, should be used to compensate the victim's families including all of the sensationalized news coverage.

5. Jon Stewart said this last night on TDS. He was talking about
CNN's endless coverage of it, noting that the BRK killer is a narcisist, and how much he must have loved it.

7. I'll bet he won't enjoy his fame once he is in prison.
I would bet his "life" sentence is much shorter than normal. Inmates don't like famous child killers.
Here's to a very short and painfilled life Mr. BTK. :toast:

8. Why do they give a creep like this all this
air time? He must feel like a big celebrity. Its exactly what he craves and they have given in to him. This should have been done behind closed doors. No cameras. And he should not have been allowed to wear a suit either. Orange jump suit and in chains. I wish the media would stop treating these creeps like they are big stars.

10. That's why I am actually quite glad he is not being executed...

even though I normally support the death penalty for this sort of brutality.

BTK would absolutely love the endless appeals which would give him plenty of more publicity and opportunities for glorying in his crimes. All the way through to his final statement before execution, perhaps 20 years or so from now.

Instead, the scumbag will be rotting in jail for the rest of his life, with absolutely no chance of parole, and we will never have to hear about him again.

11. He does not deserve humanity's ear.
If he had brown skin we'd have probably seen him escorted awaay in chains and never heard from him again.
