Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 07:48 AM by mopaul
your resolve is stronger than mine ever will be. if i lost my son over bush's greed and lies, i'd die myself.

if the parents of fallen soldiers want to go on supporting bush, i say fine, it's a free country, so why can't they see cindy sheehan's side? a simple 'i disagree' would suffice, but right wingers are only too happy to attack her for her opinions, because they arent' the same as theirs.

cindy has earned her right to complain and raise hell, and let her go on with her life as she sees fit.

1. those that lose their kids in Iraq and still support bush do it for one
reason. A defense mechanism. If they thought that bush sent their kids to die for a meaningless cause they would go mad

As time goes on they will eventually realize the reality

but for now it would be a survival mechanism

3. I agree with this.
I think for many of them the only way they can cope is to convince themselves that this war is for a good cause. So I can't blame those who lost a loved one who still say they support Bush.

2. My only issue w/ the Cindy Sheehan protest....
... is that it may create an impression that only those who've lost loved ones in a war have the right to protest the war. It's ironic, though, that the Far-Wrong won't even grant this simple concession to Cindy, having lost her son in Iraq, yet vociferously support the war without any of their own skin in the game.
