"Democrats don't have any plans of their own..." |
|
Answer with, "Well, it's better than plans that always fail!!"
I know Democrats have plans, but Republicans can only respond to talking points and one liners. I thought the above response would work.

1. On a similar note, a response to "I support Bush because he sticks up for |
|
what he believes in":
Even if what he believes in is always wrong? Just because he believes in something and is too stubborn to change doesn't mean he's right or deserves respect.
Charles Manson believed wholeheartedly in his cause - does that mean we should support and respect him, too?
That's always seemed like such a ludicrous argument in support of Bush. Oh, he believes in his cause. Oh, goody.

4. The Republicans don't want to hear them |
|
they are so far away in their own little party, they have forgotten this is the government of the people and not the party. Democrats have plans, just can't get them to the floor unless it is what the Republicans want...

6. It's because we discuss and work it out and sometimes things change |

based on reality. When you are not reality-based, however, you operate on faith and that requires unchangeable dogma.
