When a head rolls...Wilsongate will bust wide open...discuss
Use John Dean as an example. He was ousted and granted some immunity if he talked to congress...he did we see the results.

"After his firing, Dean started spilling his guts to the Senate under a limited immunity agreement. In a series of self-serving but largely accurate statements (carefully edited to preserve his bargaining position for the inevitable prosecution), Dean made it clear to both the special prosecutor and the Senate Watergate committees that the trail of breadcrumbs led straight to the Oval Office.
Until July 1973, Dean's testimony was treated largely as a case of one disgruntled employee's word against the word of the President of the United States. But all hell broke loose on July 13, when insignificant presidential minion Alexander Butterfield let slip the secret of the century: President Nixon had a secret taping system installed in the White House, which recorded every conversation held in the Oval Office.

As political bombshells go, this still ranks among the biggest and best. It instantly transformed the scandal rocking the Nixon administration by dangling the prospect of conclusive evidence."

I am taking bets on who will fall on their sword and then (pardon the pun) spill their guts or get suicided.

Condi?
Rove?

Who?

1. KKKarl is too important to *'s re-election campaign.
He is the brains behind it, and numbnuts won't sacrifice him. Maybe Condi, but I am not certain.

21. rOve is expendable when you have fake elections
Cheney is the front man for the money people and braintrust. Karl and numbnuts mean nothing. The voting machines will give the election to whomever the moneyBoys want. Hell, if I can get close enough to the tally machines I might login and elect myself sheriff.

2. My suspicion
is that two relatively minor staffers will be sacrificed. Probably two people we never heard of...and they will probably be plea bargained into minimum charges in return for silence. All details of the investigation will be sealed.

Bush will give a speech saying that justice has been served, take some credit for clearing it up AND

he will end the speech by saying that the two staffers are great American patriots who became over eager to serve their country.

Case closed
\
move along

nothing to see here.

3. I don't think so.

Dean didn't have to worry about Rove&Co. stalking him the rest of his life just waitng to smash anything he might try to build- which is what will happen if the fall guy sings.

Nope- he'll take it quitly, get a nice job somewhere, and all concerned will pray it goes away.

23. No, a secret is something one person knows.
Once there's more than one, it will likely come out.

Of course, maybe Dubya did it and didn't tell anyone -- no, Dubya doesn't know how to do something and not tell anyone, more likely doesn't know how to do something unless he's told to do it.

4. The CIA knows who is responsible.
If the wrong head rolls, this will only get bigger. If the right head rolls, it will go away.

If the BFEE tries to cover this up, the cover up could create a snowball effect.

16. I doubt the inner circle will crack
But a WH this wildly corrupt and f**ked up surely has a few staffers who have heard things. I mean, what have they done in the WH that was legal???

So maybe someone lower cracks and then, yes, the floodgates open.

22. Tenet and Poppy are the operations end of this.
The CIA is a bitch. They are all about business. Not petty revenge.Poppy is a former Grand Wazoo of the CIA. He and Tenet have cooked this up to help unca Dick move WMD material into place.
I think Mrs. Wilson was a key player in the Network that is set up to watch stuff move. With her out of the way, the components can be moved into Iraq.

Poppy, Dick and Saudi prince met two weeks ago to discuss timing. Poppy went to Russia to fill in Putin so his spy network would not spill the beans.
