Bush Supporters To Rally Friday In Crawford

Bush Supporters To Rally Friday In Crawford

Supporters of the President from Georgia and Oklahoma will rally Friday at the Crawford High School stadium.

Bush supporters from Georgia will bring more than 35 bed sheets filled with signatures of support for the President, which will be hung up during a prayer breakfast from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Friday at the stadium.

Photographs of the signed sheets will be delivered to the President and First Lady, organizers said, and then the sheets will be washed and donated to homeless shelters.

....

“Help us tell the media that we are strong in numbers, that we don't want war, but we must finish the job,” the group said in a prepared release.”

you know, the ones that have been on the bed since they bought it? I'm sure there's some NASTY stains on those sheets, I don't think the "homeless" would be interested. ;)

56. Is it just me, or does that sheet story sound fishy?
Under what sort of circumstances could you get 35 bed sheets filled with
signatures? It would take a huge amount of space just to lay them all out.
And who signed them, a whole church congregation?--that would not
fill up 35 sheets, which could potentially hold thousands of signatures.

And how awkward would it be to try and sign a bedsheet? How do you
do it, by getting down on all fours?

Sounds like bunk to me.

Whaaa? Anything you would use to write big and bold on a bed sheet will never wash out 100%. How bizarre. Guess those "lucky" homeless people will have something to read at the shelter.

“Help us tell the media that we are strong in numbers, that we don't want war, but we must finish the job,” the group said in a prepared release.”

They had to PREPARE that "release"? I can see these three people huddled around the kitchen table with a twelvepack of "Bud", saying to each other... "'ya think that's good enuf to git on the TV, Bubba"? "Why shore, Festus. Even that librul medya cain't ignore a heart warmin' gesture like this'un! "Thas' rat, Bobby Joe. We's gonna show those yankee librul jews a thang or three". :eyes:

What a gracefully and tasteful "release". The hours they spent pouring over the wording of this was time well spent. :sarcasm:

59. Oh No
They won't enlist...they have more and better ways to serve their country than being freedom fighters in Iraq or the Middle East. They are much too precious for that.

As to the sheets being donated to homeless shelters...I hope they have notes attached to them..."courtesy of President and Mrs. Bush..previously used to support us politically, not our troops."

and desecration when bush's yahoos come to town. Pick-up trucks, slim-jims, bottles of Wild Turkey and Lynard Skynard blaring from car stereos will be the order of the day. Then, sometime during the wee hours of the morning when the Wild Turkey is taking very loudly, these brave "freedom fighters" will attack or desecrate Camp Casey again.
Everywhere these assholes go, trouble follows.
To those in Camp Casey, gird your loins.

I had a Slim Jim and a bag of Cheetos on my way back to WV from Camp Casey. I just gave my Dodge Ram to a neighbor because I couldn't justify its gas guzzling habits, but I loved that truck for almost 20 years.

Of course, I was listening to NPR while munching on the Slim Jim, but what the hey...

that's "holy ground" in Texas! Yeah, they'll roll out the red carpet for the "patriots" but wouldn't even give those at Camp Casey drinking water.
Yep, these folks are REAL patriots, alright! :puke:
I hope someone in Crawford will be on hand to pass out enlistment papers to all those entering the stadium. I would, if I were even remotely near Texas. Being stuck here in western New York blows sometimes, but at least I don't have to live down south anymore. The cultural and political climate damned near killed me down there.

SOMEONE, PLEASE hand out enlistment papers to these assclowns! Let's test their "patriotism" on the spot.

27. Sheets.
As usual, crass and just wrong. I can see 'em bringing them in, hanging up at local bars everywhere "sign this for bush" In the middle of darts and pool and around the fifth pitcher of beer, after groping the waitress a couple a times--"Well HELL yeah, I'll sign that sheets. They need to kill all those bastard commies Hey, let me try one of those on! har har" Then off to a respectable bar fight, hopefully it would be the long suffering waitress just kicking one of their asses after getting tired of being groped.

31. Makes you almost wish you ran a homeless shelter, doesn't it?
You know there's going to be a big media thing at the homeless shelter when the Bushbots show up to deliver the sheet. (Knowing these assholes, 35 homeless shelters will get one sheet apiece.)

So whatcha gonna do? Easy: Insist on having the ceremony in the parking lot. After they hand you the sheet, spit on it, rip it in half, throw it on the ground, denounce (loudly) the man who's done so much to fill your shelter to overflowing, then pull out your Zippo and torch the lousy thing.

The looks on the Bushbots' faces would be priceless.

Homeless shelters aren't 5-star hotels.
They have no use for sheets--it just adds more work to the volunteers of washing them. Of course, since the wingnuts have NEVER been in a homeless shelter, they wouldn't know that.

It's their right, right? And if the President speaks to them it will just make him look even worse for refusing to speak to Cindy. Not to mention that people will notice that the * supporters get to use the local high school gym while the opposition has to sit in ditches on the side of the road. And, if one of them gets drunk and wrecks Camp Casey again, it will make them look even worse. We almost can't lose in this situation.
