how much do they think these poor kids take? They are taking 18 and 19 yearolds and sending them over and over into deadly situations. What will these boys lives be like for the rest of their days?this kid signed up for 3 years he's on stop loss now,by the end of next tour he'll have almost 6 years in.

one word sums it up: abuse. Abuse of power, abuse of trust.

3. Meanwhile Rumsfeld is claiming that no one is sent for three tours... |
|
...let alone four. That we're exaggerating. Yeah, right. :eyes:

9. Here's what they did with my kid... |
|
a "deployment" in the US Army = 12 months. My son went to Afghanistan for 7 months, then germany 3 months, then Iraq for 9 months, then Germany 3 months..He's back in Iraq-for his first "official" deployment-he'll be there a year this time.

11. Oh, my God. That's taking semantics to a disgustingly low level. |
|
How can they play with lives like this? This is just not right. So, this is why Rummy feels safe using word games.

This royally pisses me off. I feel so bad for all those kids. They signed up to serve their country and they're being used as nothing more than cannon fodder. Please refresh my memory -- how many tours have Jenna and Barb done?
Please tell your friend that we'll be thinking of her son and that we're doing everything we can to bring a stop to this. And tell her son thanks for serving. We appreciate his service even though the neo-cons don't.
I'm soooo glad we have an "all volunteer" force. :sarcasm:

(RW theory put into practice vis-a-vis Bush meeting with Cindy, again)
