My friend Don Nelson from Walnut Creek, California, could not get healthcare because he went in and applied after January 17, 2003. He used up all his insurance from his teaching career at Stanford. So he went home and they saw what it was gonna take for him to survive and it was gonna eat up all the savings they worked for 40-something years. He stopped eating and starved himself to death.
