Poll question: In Conversation With Non-Lib-Activist Friends, How Do U Conduct Yourself?
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 01:44 PM by Gringo
I believe in the "bandwagon" theory. I believe that there are a hell of a lot of us out there who are sheeepish about our views. I wish everyone could be more forthright, so that America in general would realize that we are, indeed, the majority.

1. Contrite Tit For Tat
Game theory works well against the people who invented it.

3. I'm not sheepish or a 'closet' Democrat, on the other hand
there are many people in this world with totally closed minds. The first thing I try to determine is if the person I am talking to is one of those. If so, I talk about the weather, fishing, etc....

4. Point Taken.
Even with those types, I do try to plant the right kind of subtle questions in their minds, but for th most part, you may as well do small talk. But if somebody brings it to me, I fight back. I do not sit quiet when someone in my office is spewing pro-Bush, anti-dem crap. Luckily, most of my co-workers are moderate-to-liberal.

6. I...
... am forthright and factual, but try to make them laugh if at all possible; if you can make one of them laugh, there's a CHANCE you can use that chink in their armor to drive home a point. :)

9. Only happy when the blade...
runs red with the blood of thine enemies...!!!
Centrists that preach 'moderation' and 'passivity' are the first to go...(they're practice)

10. Love me or hate me...
You can't ignore me. I don't go looking for trouble, but when people engage me in debate they know it could be protracted.

People who don't want that kind of discussion just avoid me.
