When Tom Oliphant mentioned Ms. Roberts from GA, who is going to stand in for Cindy, Kristol said "Let's see what trou... let's see what kind of attention the media gives to it." What a creep.

maybe the best interview JS has ever done: he got Krystol to say things like "would you have the guy who drove the bus into the ditch be the one to try to get it back out," and THEN ask himself why on earth he ever said it.

he then said something like "I'm not in DC now, so I can tell the truth."

38. I thought it was a great moment - the absolute frustration

in Kristol's demeanor and voice were palpable - the frustration that the Republican "talking points" simply aren't working in this instance and are sounding more absurd every day.

And Tom Oliphant in his quiet gentlemanly way just shot him down by saying that the Cindy Sheehan phenomenon isn't an anti-war movement, it's a frustration movement - frustration that Bush can't or won't explain exactly what's going on in Iraq, how long it will last, how much it will cost, and the fact he can't come clean about it.
