Big surprise there. Now we just have to sit back and wait to see if he'll go to jail over this.

It may also be like the point in Rat Race where the competitors eye each other and try to act nonchalant.

7. Now we know Rove is history.
"The focus on Rove brought an odd twist to Bush's travels. When the president boarded Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base outside of Washington, he walked up the steps and waved — and not a single camera followed. He looked momentarily perplexed. All lenses were trained on Rove at the bottom of the steps."

12. I think Rove will try his evil best to hang onto his job because he
knows bush* is nothing without him. But he messed with CIA and spooks and I do not think he can survive this. But I would like this to be dragged out for a long time, this story will only add to the decline in bush's* credibility and poll ratings.

If Rove falls now, it may be forgotten by election 2004.

16. Sounds reasonable, but
I don't think that'll be the end game. Many more will go down before this is over. Did Bush and Cheney know what Rove did? Did they suggest it? Did Cheney order it? Did they attempt to cover it up? Who else was involved? Everyone? Soooo many questions.

Even if there is a perp walk tomorrow, the story is far from over.

51. Hey guys, KKKarl can have any info he wants from THIS White House.
All he has to do is ask his mentor and good buddy, georgie. george approves of this guy, big-time, and is mean-spirited enough to appreciates his dirty tricks. He'd probably be happy to share anything he'd heard, or direct somebody else to share it with KKKarl. All KKKarl has to do is ask. bush would probably assume it's to screw somebody, so he'd automatically be all for it.

There is NO way Karl is going to fall on his sword. He knows he runs the WH, why would he give that up easily? Remember, his goal is a Republican majority for the next couple of generations. Rolling over on this will not get him there.

26. Ever ask anyone about Rove?
Whenever I talk politics with folks around the office or with friends, Rove invariably comes up. And I get the same damned response every time: "Who?"

Nobody knows who this guy is. Which is how he wants it. This guy isn't a celeb politician, like Rumsfeld or Powell. He's a frickin' shadow, the Wizard himself. I hope the curtain gets yanked back posthaste.

CNNI was reporting its editors making profuse apologies for Novak's piece, saying they should have been more alert to such storie--which betray the security of our country after 9-11 and dozens of code red terror alerts since then.

Apologies not accepted.

Well, I don't want to start celebrating prematurely, but this is - to put it bluntly - fucking awesome! Especially after Rove's involvement was denied again and again during WH press conferences by McClellan.

I just hope we get an independent investigation now. And that they keep digging for more on Rove even after it's settled once and for all that he's responsible - God only knows what they'll find.
